Panda (Classic) Fizzle :)

Well thanks to Andrew firstcar-Y10 I have a pair of shockers for Fizzle (y):worship:

Now I've a few days until they are to be fitted by Fizzle's personal (and most famous YouTube panda fettler) mechanic Dragon Man (y):worship:

I've hit upon the idea of painting them. I think a nice red to match the rest of Fizzle (and a dab on the door sill repair wouldn't hurt) could look good.

Years ago when I worked for Do It All (in fetching blue polyester dungarees) Hammerite was the preferred paint of slap dash DIY'ers it seemed, and they even bought out smoothrite in a spray.

Is this still the paint of choice for shockers or has the 20years :)eek:) brought about a better product?

Red smoothrite will be fine. (y)

the panda cant be much bigger than a cinq tbh as i had about the same amount of room with johns doors in the back hmm :yum:

Replacement shocks have had their second coat of smoothrite, pity it's so cold, can only do a coat a day. Lots of drips and runs but want a good thick coating, couldn't run to a can big enough to dip them in (like Dragon Man did) so a good old brushing it is.

I left the replacement door in the car though I'm itching to get that paintwork good and shiny, it's kind of a dusty orange at the moment. A downside to the new door is losing the 'fizz' decal strip across it. I will probably remove the rest of the strip but leave the lettering for now.

I was hoping for the other bits'n'pieces I'd order to arrive before Panday 3 but it don't look good so far.

here's some pic's as to what's instore for Fizzle...

Thanks (y) (must get my name sorted...)

Oh it's a slow job when the budget is so tight :(

I'm really packing my pants about the MOT, just hoping the tester is kind. I need a couple of new tyres and wondered if getting him to do them would butter him up a bit.;)

I'm suprised the tiny tyres aren't cheaper was expecting no-names for £20 each :D

Thinking of going for Uniroyal rain expert at £72 a pair from pneus.

Tyres and MOT's are boring stuff really, just wanna drive it and add silly bits for fun!

I know what you mean, but hopefully it all goes well :)

Sunstrip back or front??.....I'm yet to know from Gavin which he is going for..

I was actually thinking of using it as a sunstrip - on the front.

I'm waiting for a day above freezing to fit it. The instructions say straight onto a dry windscreen, I don't have a great track record with that type of fitment. It may end up in the bin:mad:
