It's a 2008 which I've owned since 2009 and had it chipped so it makes about 100hp but still returns about 55mpg on average !!

Nice snow shots.

There are many folsk on here that would like a Cross - most of us are hoping that Spring and the Mk4 4x4 will bring the prices down a bit.

On the subject of chipping - there are worries in the 'clutch' department. What's your personal experience and mileage?

No problems with chipping.

I looked into it and its fine as long as you don't cane it in every gear, which i don't.

There is so much more torque over standard,I get about 5% better fuel economy and it goes like stink even short shifting-makes about 100 bhp uo from 75 !!

Done by Angel Tuning and cost £210 !!!

I've done about 15000 miles in last 2 years since it was chipped and clutch is fine.

I've had many 4x4s including Mercs, many LRs etc and the Cross is the best by far in the snow-I've never managed to get it stuck. Two years ago I drove down what was basically a blocked lane and it still made it.

Just amazing really
