Panda When Twizzle Met Fizzle

Introduction

Hi everybody

Thought it was about time I formally introduced the two red Pandas,

Twizzle - a 2009 mk3 dynamic 1.2

Fizzle - a 1993 mk2 Fizz 1.0

Twizzle finally got her top coat of autoglym extra gloss protection only a month after she was clayed and polished

She also got her crowning glory (courtesy of fellow fiat forumer richardllew who also kindly fitted them for me and cleared the crud out of the scuttle drains - what a top bloke :D) and an italian tune up on the A1/M1 today :)

She has some new shoes in the garage but they'll have to wait until the spring to be fitted, all I need now is some body rubbing strips to complete the posh panda look :p

I traded in a 500 for Twizzle and have to say it was one of my better decisions, prefer just about everything from driving position to the handling in the panda over the 500 plus it's a smoother and quieter ride (y)

First non warranty problem, Flat tyre, rear offside, funny thing is didn't notice any change in handling until I pulled into the gravel drive and it ploughed a furrow in it :(

Will have a look in the light tomorrow as to damage to tyre itself. Will take the opportunity to test fit the doblo alloys, unfortunately the alloys need tyres all round and paydays a way off

Best bit of dual Panda ownership, one breaks the other (fingers crossed) works :)

Multi car ownership is great :) At the moment we've got a Subaru with a flat battery and I dont need to sort it because we've got two other cars hehe

Haha. I've been home alone for the week. The choice of 4 different cars which I can use has been all to much. Just settled for the Bravo for work (50mile round trip) and the mk3 Panda for the gym (6miles round trip).
cheekylittlescamp all you need now is a nice set of alloys to go with the roof bars :)

Well winter turned to spring turned to summer and autumn is here and I still haven't sorted out the dobby alloys.

Twizzle's great for load lugging, having crossed the Pennines full of Alfa seats (full set!) a bonnet and bumper for a mk2 panda, dumpy bags of garden chod for the tip etc.

He's probably the most practical car I've ever owned, certainly on a par with the 5 door Uno I had in the late '90's; but with the added benefit of windscreen wipers that don't pack up on the M5 during a cloud burst

It's not a proper Fiat though as I've yet to find any rust anywhere :p
