Punto (Mk2/2b) what exhaust back box to get??

hi guys,

iam looking to get an exhaust upgrade for my punto, i want sumin loud but not to loud where it will look stupid because at the end of the day it is only a 1.2.

i wana get a twin exhaust pipe put on the left hand side of the rear of the car.

i was going to get this...

the guy said with parts and fitting it will all be £100

and he said it has a deep sporty sound too and for an extra 20 quid he cud cut the bumper for me so it slots in the gap, im not sure because once its on i cnt get a refund imagine the sound isnt deep or loud enough?

help guys?? anyone brought one of these universal ones before??

I bought one of the fast lane styling universal ones on my old mk5 fiesta it sounded loud when booting it, sounded loud in 1st 2nd and 3rd couldn't hear it when chilling in 4th or 5th look good too, I didn't have the twin one just had a badass 4" lol

Personally I would save up for a more well known brand like power flow, scorpion etc :slayer:

an exhaust.shouldnt sound that much different in any gear as they are rev dependant

also do u have a centre pipe or box? if u have a box wack a pipe in (£30) itll change the sound a little

i have now removed the crappy backbox and im left with a awful looking hole! ;(

yeah mate, bought a yellow bumper from scrap yard off a yellow mk2 sporting 3dr i got told it would fit so hopefully will and getting it re sprayed to match haha

yes it will fit as long as yours is not a 5door

yeh dats the company im gna get mine from, you fink it will sound good on my punto doe??

btw how much did the guy charge u??

I bought it off eBay and got it fitted by a mate, would probably sound nice on a punto, you got an induction kit etc!?

i think you can get a backbox fitted from longlife for that kinda money http://www.longlife.co.uk/ i used to have a janspeed on my sei good sound with youre foot down but quiet otherwise expensive tho. imo avoid universal and i dont like the look of the sportex ones ether

no induction kit fitted yet mate, have you got any videos of what it sounded like on your fiesta? reli wana hear it before i put it on

Hey, I think you should look into getting a sportex back box, ive got a 3" and it sounds awesome!! but yet its not too loud, its a direct fit so its really easy to bolt straight on, you can easily do it at home, and they're not too expensive, i picked mine up off ebay, it was 3 months old and i got it for £30!!!

I haven't mate, will have a look but I don't think I do and now it's all mashed up and made into tin cans lol
