to be honest im going to need some help with the engine, i know a hell of alot about engines and sorting them out, but i really dont know where to begin with this one!
1st time he had it stored here in sheffield & had it blasting up access rd in no time with no screen, frt bumper etc:D. so doubt eng is fubar he said he couldn't understand why it was such a mess when we fetched it the second time, the owner said he'd had something done with chip/brain:confused: but richard was doubtful as he said it would be useless without it or it on a std (esp non turbo'd) car.
he was convinced that the hacked about loom was causeing all the probs:bang:.
i remember the last time we spoke about it he'd managed to sort the pump wireing & was reg checking his 2nd home (albert looms breakers) for a loom.

i was looking forward to a run/drive in this special car.:worship:

still not alot has happened, i still need the lambda sensor wiring checked but i just havent had time to look into it :( even when its done i cant insure a 3rd car! so it will have to wait until i can arrange a traders policy :)

i removed the sticker on the rear quarter, and started polishing it, and its had a very thin blow over on this side :( it just comes off by hand polishing revealing much lighter yellow under it, not sure what to do

so can anyone help me with the wiring for the lambda sensor? really i dont have a clue, if someone can tell me which colour wire goes where i can do it but otherwise i think il end up just selling it soon cos nothings happening with it and its just sat here doing nothing

well according to haynes...

from the lamda there should be,
blue & yellow wire to ecu pin 29
brown & green wire to ecu pin 12
green & black to earth & ecu pin 17
light blue wire that branches into 3; 1 to fuel pump relay, 1 to canister solenoid and one to the coils.

Does that help??

If i were you and don't want to replace the whole loom go cut the loom side plug off a car in scrappies, solder and heatwrap it onto the cut wires on the loom (might require some extending depending on how and where its chopped already). Then just get a new lambda and plug it in.
If you still having gremlins after that it might be time to just get a replacement engine loom for it and make the necessary changes to that for the turbo.

es its still with blackbox but now off the road as a major overheating issue caused the head to fail , plus the turbo has seen better days , the list of jobs to do grows longer and the time available shorter , perhaps after the original black box is on the road , and the "new original black box" is finished then attention will be focused on a major rebuild of the turbo .
