Grande Punto My Orange Fiat Grande Punto 1.9 Sporting

Introduction

Hi Guys!

I know I already have a thread in the GP section about my car but wanted one in here aswell as I know some people dont look in the GP section unless they actually own a GP and I though others may like to hae a look at my car (y)

So As with all new cars there is offten an old one. My 1.2 mk2 punto abarth was completly stock apart from the abarth lettering in the grill :slayer:

Which I part exchanced for this. 1.9 sporting

My first mod was a new head unit which I did the day I had the car abarth headlights shortly followed then a set of abarth alloys, a badgless grill and some eibach sportlines. (1st pic is before sportlines)

Future mods:
Abarth brake lights
Tint rear 3 windows (maybe)
Abarth or red fiat badge (not sure which-suggestions would be nice)
Replace foggy foglights
Cold air intake (CDA BMC replica) or K&N induction but i'm told they sound awfull.

Thanks for looking

Jordan.
ahh get them wheels off asap!

:p you should get yourself to Trafford meet some time, we've had 4 Tango's once, (standing record ;) ) sorry for the bad phone picture haha @S1M0 , myself, @Hinksy and lewis
edit; for got to mention. It does seem like there is allot of orange ones about. there isn't, but the people who own them are all on the forum haha

I have my winter wheels IN my car ready to be taken to work tomorrow Iv managed to score half an hour of my manager + my half hour dinner break should give me plenty of time to get them on the car :D I know its late but will give me peace of mind.

And they look awsome orange GP's FTW :slayer:
I would be the odd one out without my vinyl'ed grill

Exactly why i cancelled my plans to vinyl mine now (y)

And Reu, there were 4 orange GP's at Trafford last week, so count it as more than the once ;)

There was? Nobodys uploading pictures, i need them haha.

As for grill, i personally prefer it with the vinyl its all down to taste. The black and orange combo is also over done on these. But it looks the dogs balls when done!
I did mine gunmetal to be different and i prefer it to black. Again down to preference :)

Yep there my winters I'm super careful in the snow anyway but I don't want to risk curbing my abarths! Plus I like the idea of having a couple of different looks its amazing how much changing the wheels has changed the way it looks :p need spacers for these though. auggie2k I'm sure you will find some soon :)

Completely agree, such a quick and definitive change to the whole look. Cheers!

Nearly purchased a hawkeye wrx instead of the abarth! Think i'll save the scooby till im a bit older and the 2012 saloon model comes down in price :yum: It's not fair that I can't watch mighty car mods :(

Do you have anything else planned for the car? I keep looking at it and thinking what more does it need  haha!

I would of so had the scooby haha

I thought the running costs were a bit too much...the Abarth isn't far behind in costs really, has to have a oil change every 6k or year and services at 18k aaaand it's in bits in a garage waiting on new parts for the gearbox lol :(

Like I say i'll wait till I can afford the 2012 model, it will happen someday it's a bit of a dream ;)

its still under the garages warranty isn't it?

It is, 3 month warranty with only certain things it covers. Not sure about the gearbox though I think it's more them fixing it because they sold me a car with a problem that they missed whilst checking it over and servicing etc, i'm fairly sure it's covered as they mentioned i'll have to pay for the new wiper blade but didn't mention gearbox or sideskirt. I'll be rather upset if they turn around and ask for a heap of cash  pretty sure i'll be alright though! I hope! lol

have a look at the document you signed, it should say there, will also state how much you have to pay towards the repairs.

I had a similar situation when i bought mine, after weeks of the 'professional mechanics' miss diagnosing the problem and me telling them what it actually was they sorted it and i didn't have to pay a penny! just keep to your guns about them selling you it faulty. what i did and it paid off. (mine was the waterpump rattling all over the place)
