HEKO Wind deflector (ordered)
Red FIAT Forum stickers (ordered)
Sporting Steering Wheel
Red Callipers (waiting for a nice day)

Hopefully get a lot more pictures up soon as well!
dont think anymore work will be getting done until after christmas apart from getting all that glue off the sides. Probably be putting in an induction kit and possibly a new steering wheel in january and spray my callipers red, possibly paint the centre console red and colour code all the plastic on the outside :D hope to get it all done as soon as i can! If anyone wants any pictures of progress just reply on here (y)
Any other easy and relatively cheep mods people want to suggest will definitely be considered!:slayer:

Re: My Punto

Remove rear lights and clean behind there
Pull Roof Seals up - clean the crap out of there!!
Front window top seal - remove clean - refit

Underside the car - clean any rust off Now - paint it - then seal the underside with Waxyoil or other underseal products (just standard hammerite paint wont do)

give the car a good service - Oil filter + oil
Air fitler
Brake fluid change
brake service (ie remove clean and refit / adjust)
The Gearbox fluid - remove and renew
Cambelt on the 8v aint too much of an issue due to been a Safe engine, but if its way way way past its life for doing - replace it

Mods inside
Sporting or active/hgt dash for a nice temp guage and rev counter
Stereo for something nice
A HGT or sporting centre console and handbrake?
A good hoover and carpet vac :)

Treat these cars well - they will treat you well
Motoring - a sure fire way to be broke

ziggy
All great advice Ziggy. Especially about the undersealing and the steel wheels/ wintyer tyres. Top man!
What do you mean by roof seals and front window seals?
What is the problem with the front window seals?

Re: My Punto

Ok guys so ive still not managed to get this glue off i have tried absolutely everything. dont know what to do.

Quick edit. So my exhaust has just decided to die gonna have to get that fixed. Think i will try some tar and glue remover on that adhesive heard it leaves good results.
And i have some more plans that i will post up later on

Not posted on here in a while just had problem after problem with the car.
Needs a new battery mine is just totally done. The manifold is gone and the only part that i can get local is 96 pounds because it comes with the cat converter. Needs 2 new tyres but i knew that anyway. Starter motor is quite worn so i will change that.:bang::bang: So once i get that all fixed which could take some time due to money i have the following ideas

Plans:

Focus Induction Kit
Tint Rear Lights
Tint Rear Windows
Paint Centre Console Red
Paint Calipers Red
Sporting or Team Dynamic Alloys.
Sporting Steering Wheel
Colour Code Outside Plastics And Bumpers
New Windscreen Wipers (Suggestions Wanted)
Fit Head Unit Fascia
Pedal Kit
Change Floor Mats
HID My Original Headlights
Sporting Spoiler
Lower (Possibly)
So yea there is my plans going to take a while i will come through and cross off each as it is done. All down to money at this stage though :(

I ordered mine on thursday and haven't got them yet but if you got them from fiatitalia then you never looked hard enough, you're in strathclyde ;)
Sad news about your ECU going though (n) if things come to the worst at least it gives you the chance to upgrade to the daddy grande punto (y)

Currently colour coding the door handles must say im awful at it i managed to scratch the pain with the sand paper haha! oh well its all just practice. just put my first coat of primer on and tbh i dont think ive sanded enough as it looks as if it is only sticking to some bits of the handle but we will see after the third coat i will get pictures up after ive done

Quick update the first coat of paint is on and is looking amazing the primer was perfect after three coats just waiting for the paint to dry now. any advice on how long to wait to lacquer after the third coat of paint?

sorry for double posting but ive just hit another problem (n) i have bought a fascia for my headunit but i cant get the headunit in the whole way it seems like a wire or something may be blocking it but i cant find anything!

i had the same with mine! i just put it in as far as it would go and forced the cd player in, hasnt come out since haha!

Did you just get halfords stuff mate? Primer probably wouldn't adhere due to how cold it is. As for drying time between coats I would just leave it a fraction longer than the recommended due to the cold again, or you could be mental and touch it, if it's dry then lacquer away!

primer has went on fine mate :) and ye its all just halfords stuff. im just leaving it for around 30-35 minutes each time the third coat of paint is on now but i dont have a pintbrush to touch up the top bit so i dunno what im going to do. need to do that before i lacquer it.

Ok my sidelights have arrived and i have my osram main bulbs waiting to go on heres a picture before i fit them, will also have picture of smooth siding and colour coding on at the weekend just waiting for all the lacquer to dry on the handles and so on i will also give the car a good clean before posting pictures.
