Seicento The Blue Seicento Project

Introduction

https://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/data/3468/20121114_112904.jpg so hear is the new blue seicento i perchased for a bargin prihttps://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/data/3468/20121114_112904.jpg ce of £300
low miles only 46,000 miles but gearbox has gone bang so no driving it back plus no mot or tax

this is a 2001 seicehttps://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/data/3468/20121114_112904.jpg nto s 1.1 with the newer type gearbox (crap) :(

so the restoration so to speak will consist of getting it back on the road not ahttps://www.fiatforum.com/gallery/data/3468/20121114_112904.jpg lot to do just the box and other bits and bats (y)

so hear it is on the trailer after a 326 mile road trip to go and get it

towing car was family car a picasso 1.8 16v not the ideal towing car back end was slamed (looked cool though) as for power it was not to shaby on the motorway and hills

so hear it is as it stands now

needs a good clay bar on this one :p but other than that not to bad at all

as for the gearbox something has gone boom the main probolem with this type of gearbox is that it is a wet conection that being when the rubber boots split you lose all of the gearbox oil

so i will be upgrading it to the sporting type gearbox dry conection type plus its proberly stronger aswell (y)

all typed on phone so if anything is iffy you know why lol:p

Well I never.....

And I was convinced you'd never complete a Cento project this year. :p

Looks like a nice little car and I'm sure you'll have fun driving it. Should sail through an MOT if you've checked it over and it has no unwanted holes. (y)

i will give it a better going over tomorrow theres quite a bit of rust on rear sub frame but not to bad

and now then that is just not on haha :p

Fingers crossed fella for tomorrow

Also if some one was going to clock it they would knock more than 5000 off it

thanks and yeh just seams strange unless pc is wrong

the worst part was the clutch cable under dash what a pain the previous owner put the cotter pin in the wrong way and mashed it up so i made good use of a small alen key and mall grips and ragged it out (y)

handbrake works like a charm now the riveted thing rusted up luckily i kept the braked from the green cinq :) packed the pivot point with copper grease so no repeat for a while now its so good it stalls the engine on the 5th click and when i release the wheels spin freely only thing to do now is the cv boots (y)

Had the car on the road for not eavan a day and grandperants are using it because the citorën has packed up I was going to check the antifreez last night but got side tracked by another seicento we went down to york to collect for my friend so another words the Picasso's block might be broken lol but the mighty sei has become the daily shopper it would seam :) and they were bullying it because it was a Fiat haha

Loving the festive banner :p and yeh lol the Picasso fired up after we poured hot water on water pump :0 I thing a flush is in need. Lol but other than that it started fine which means I get my car back ! And the continuation of the green one not bad considering I got a 2001 seicento s on the road for 400ish oh and I had the balls to rev it to 5k to stop that flashing light no rev counter either but its stopped flashing :)

for the banter lol and just retrieved my 866 from the oily dry storage :D and a bucket of shims

Well I hope you've got it fitted by now that was nearly an hour ago. :p

only messin' - mines not working, awaiting new belts to arrive is my current excuse, but its all good, i borrowed a sei while its off road. Strange driving a not turbo sei about but i'm still cento'in!!

And this hasn't been documented in the Marella thread

I hope you get her fixed soon. :(

Perfect car to be driving in the ice and snow. :D
