Well since im new here, i thought it would make sense if i uploaded some pics of my little beast. This is my 1st car as i only passed my test a month ago... i bought it for £410 which i think is a bargain :) i havent done anything to it yet, and tbh i wouldnt have a clue what i could do to it lol...

so any ideas or thoughts on how i could mod it (for cheap) would be greatly appreciated.

Its a 2001 1.2 8v model.. there are a few problems tho.. on the one side, the front panel is a different color (due to someone bumping it) how owuld i go about spraying this the same color as the rest of the car?? what color exactly is my car lol :/!!

Also how would i remove the sticker off the back window, as the previous owner put it on there and i want it off, as its annoying and people keep asking me to sell them cheap bikes lol!

Any feedback would be great :)

Thanks

take the sticker off swith a very sharp scraper blade. Remove residue with lighter fluid / dab of petrol any other solvent.

Colour looks like Astral Blue (azzuro astrale or something similar). Can't remember paint code.

Hi there, i've moved your photos from your second post into your first to make it neater :) I have also moved this into the "Members Motors" forum (y)

In regards to the sticker, I would recommend heating with a hair dryer first, as this makes it easier to remove and leaves less sticky residue. any residue left can be removed with "Tar and glue" removal, such as autoglym.

If you can access a hair dryer you can use very hot water :)

Also, welcome to the forum, and congrats on your test.

Hey :) Thanks for that lol, as im new i aint got a clue... but im learning lol!

Post looks much better now tho thank you!

And thanks for advice, i will be sure to try it when i get home from work tonite :)! another question, is it easy enough to debadge the "punto" & "ELX" from the back of the car??

Thanks

Also another question how will i know if the car is fitted with the standard Fiat Sub? where would i look?

exactly the same way, heat up the badge letter by letter slowly moving the heat (so not to cause paint bubbling) and up a credit card or tooth floss to work behind the badge and peel away the foam backing. (y) use more tar remover to get rid of any remaining rubbish

Also another question how will i know if the car is fitted with the standard Fiat Sub? where would i look?

It would be in the boot in either side arch. dont think the ELX came with one standard

I hate to disagree with my favourite moderator: but "6-speaker RDS stereo system with CD compatibility and 100W subwoofer" is listed as "Standard" for the ELX, in the "Functional/electrical equipment" section of the brochure.... Sorry....

And, thaduck1, it should be on the nearside, as RuSZ said, curving over the wheelarch. If you need a piccy, just ask...!

PS: Can't see your piccies....

Previous owner of mine put in a Kenwood HU; but, thankfully, the sub still works...! (y)

Pics can be found by following this eBay link...! ;)

Thanks as always guys!
