Thought I'd start a thread on my companies new project car.

We are traders on the forum and what we try to do is always have at least one project car on the go where we can fit the products we sell and offer demo's etc.

First modification is to fit a set of Vogtland coilovers.

Fitting took 4 hours (with geometry set up)

Front ride height set at highest on these is 5mm lower than standard Essesse.

Rears ride height now same as fronts with adjustment being at half way point.

They come with new bump stops so OEM ones no longer an issue.

Ride now is not so jiggly but will have a better idea after i've done a few more miles. Am taking her to the Nurburgring w/end 21/9 which will be the acid test.

Cost is £410 delivered (UK addresses)

Vogtland also do coilovers for Brava/Bravo,Punto,Stilo,Croma

If you pop over to the traders area I've posted some pictures up of Vogtland coilovers.

I've been out in the car properly and its completely transformed. Turn is is much sharper with reduced body roll but the best thing is the rear is no longer bouncing around like a kangaroo on crack..........Can't wait for the Nurburgring now..........been going twice a year since 2006 first time in a FWD car :)

Prolex, thanks for sharing your A500 project with us, I'm sure we will all enjoy following the progress of the car as it is transformed as well as your insight into the way each modification affects the car. (y)

I saw that colour this weekend and its something different... I like it and the white wheels just rounds it off.

picture taken at the Nurburgring last weekend.

As you can see nice flat stance.

Vogtland coilovers did the trick :)

Got some Wiechers strut braces to fit next

Have ordered a new stainless turbo back system for the car.

larger bore down pipe with 200 cell sports cat,mid pipe, rear quad pipe silencers

This is now fitted and I am quite chuffed with it.

Its a stainless steel turbo back system with a 200 cell cat and slightly larger diameter down pipe running through larger diameter mid section to a smaller rear silencer and quad tail pipes.

Quieter than standard at idle but nice throaty sound over 4/4.5k

Car boosts up to 1.2 bar easily and is CEL free

I aim to design my own induction kit for her next as the front bumper has been removed and I have a few sneaky ideas.......
