Punto (Mk2/2b) Punto Dynamic Multijet 1.3

Introduction

Havn't posted pics of this up in full before so here it is.
i hasten to point out it's completely standard, not a single modification unless you count the non-genuine rear bumper that the repair company is currently trying to fob me off with.

Well my car has aircon so the windows don't get opened very often, usually when I do it so the dogs can stick their heads out.

Before fitting opening the passenger side window would result in all the rubbish in the car getting blown about now I get a really nice breeze through which isn't harsh at all.

They're are tinted and combined with the rear window tints the interior is much much cooler meaning the aircon doesn't have to do much at all.

I've also noticed quite an increase in fuel economy which makes me think the air over the car is smoother.

It does however make the A-pillar much thicker which is a bit of an issue.

:yeahthat:

Took me a while to get used to mine! They create quite a large blind spot, especially when approaching roundabouts, also on the passenger side it covers half an inch or so of the wing mirror. On my 3 door anyway.

Although as i dont have a/c in my elx they are great! Especially as i do a lot of motorway driving, being able to have the windows open a crack in the rain is a big advantage too!

They don't cover the wing mirrors at all, as I said earlier in the thread they sent me some 3door deflectors which is the same except being a about an inch or two longer at the back.

From this I can only conclude you must be much shorter than me and as such sit much closer to the wheel

Mine are fine on the driver's side; but do cover a portion of the passenger side mirror. I shall take a photo, later -- when the car has returned from the accident repair place....

I do sit quite upright, because of my neck problems, etc. -- but am pretty average in height (about 5'10" -- I was 6'0" before my neck op, though...).

Edit
How mine looks... (y)

well looks a major problem to me because it would cause you to need to look at mirror longer to acclimatise, then you end up running up someone:eek:
i think andy should show us his:)

The mk2 Punto 5dr still looks the mutts nuts nearly 15 years after it was launched. Got to say, I still miss my old 1!!

Took a couple of arty shots today and applied some annoying filters.....

What do you think?

I really like the first one... -- might be even stronger in black-and-white (although I do like the red of the bollards, etc....). Great composition and perspective; a mixture of 'ingredients' to move your eye around; and that all-important turn to the front wheels...!

Second one, to be honest, I'm a bit "meh" about. Sorry.

Even after taking thousands of photos over the last ten years or so -- shooting almost daily, as a way to keep sane... -- I found car photography really, really difficult to get right, at first -- and I'm still struggling, to be honest: my success rate not being anywhere near as high as with other subjects.... (My usual photography is of landscapes, gardens, the odd macro and still-life, etc...) The other problem is repetition. If you look at car magazines, their photographers really struggle to come up with anything new, apart from the landscapes the shots are based in... -- although I have noticed a recent trend towards silly gimmicks and Instagram-style filters....

Too much information? Or helpful...? :)

They were edited on my phone so no major software to do anything nice with them, but I was fairly happy with the results.

I've done loads of photography over the last 5-6 years had a few things published been hounded by friends for copies of their wedding photos etc but I've always liked doing cars. I used to do lots of landscapes it's but no one was ever interested I then found people loved looking at other people so started doing more people, however these days everyone's a photographer so I lost interest.

I then started doing more video stuff which was about the time Punto How To Started

I acquired this today, with a view to installing them In my punto

Basically it's two usb charging ports and a 12v 20a accessory port I want to get rid of the ring cup holder device which gives me 2 USB and 2 accessory sockets, any recommendations on where to fit them? They can be separated off the back plate and installed individually
