Cinquecento Chetti's Black Cinq Sporting

Introduction

Aye up guys, been browsing the forum after being pointed here by someone I bumped into in Wakefield. Not sure if they are a regular poster, all I remember is they owned a red cinq sporting and had parked next to me.

Bought this car as I needed something to get me to work and back and have since fallen for these cars, never had as much fun driving.

Got it in February and really haven't been busy with it. All I have done is taken some hideous window stickers out of it and given it a good clean up outside and in. I plan on keeping things simple with it, rear 3 windows tinted and lights, new exhaust (central mounted hopefully) and respray or replace that bloody boot.

Thanks a lot. My Dad owes me money so he can buy me the lid I've found instead of paying me back.

He's probably pleased that there will be no worries about you with the young ladies of Wakefield whilst you have a Cinq.:D

Well had the oil leak fixed and asked for a new belt as mine was singing when I started it up. Turned out I didn't need the belt, it was being held on by the top bolt as the bottom one was missing. The guy loved the car and said it's engine is running sweet and I shouldn't worry about anything else. Was so happy to start it up and not see the oil light come on.

Always ;)

So, whats the best method for removing those hideous vinyls and unleaded sticker?

Couldn't sleep after my shift last night so I decided to fit my boot lid this morning with some help from my brother :)

Hi chetti :), Use some hot water from the kettle to remove the vinyl and stickers, let the water cool abit but still hot not boiling before pouring it on, try and get an edge with your fingernail and go slow pulling it away from the bodywork, repeat until your happy!

Careful you don't burn your fingers, and if you get left
with some residue i'm sure it should polish out.(y)

Not been online in a while due to work and health problems. The car is looking a hell of a lot better than it did. I removed all those terrible stickers/vinyls and have got a black boot on there now. All I need to do now is get a new tire, been running round on the spare for a few weeks now. Hope everyone is well.
