Sprayed Up looking lovely and shiny But ultimate fail that it was super soft to the touch Ripped apart withing seconds Was rushed so it didnt dry properly underneath So thats been pulled off the car again - having a super long dry period My Numberplate fixing kit had arrived today ![]() So off with the old Crusty Screws and covers and YUCK! Finally the Surrounds have gone on ![]() The Front Gutter Scuttle pannel was cleaned as well - it was ready as well There is some Tar Spots that need attention However i noticed the Wiper linkages were loose on a ball joint.... No point doing half of what i was planning to only get it out later this year So Wait they shall But none the less - it looks alot cleaner and brighter - and a quick over with some Carlack 69 to protect it till later this year Thats it for now Still a massive list to go ![]() Ziggy

When i did the manifold bolts (cleaned of rust - treated and painted) the Bonnet catch and brake fluid tank nuts also got the same treatment ![]() and yes - copper grease is everywhere, when it comes off - it goes back on with some grease, as you never know when its gonna need to come off Ordered some new stereo speaker adaptors, my speakers to go back in Boot light mod is potentially under way soon too! with a nice neat adaptor ![]() Ziggy

Posts: 16,535 Thanks: 907 Trader Rating: 0 ![]() | Re: Meet Bumble-Bee I knew when i brought the car the pads did look low - not long left it had very rusty disc's too the pads cleaning the disc's up finished the pads off - oh well So with an afternoon to work on it I swapped the pads and Disc's and started again for safety Reasons ![]() Looks like a typical case of a sliding caliper wearing harder on the leading pad (piston side) Slowly i'll be cleaning up the car and hopefully making it look better then he already does ![]() So Next up - Horn Mounting bracket - meant to be a nice zinc plated look - but eaten away by the road ![]() Before And Afters Also Noticed my volt's were a little low at times when running This could be me constantly using the get me home lights.... so i decided to check and clean the earths up and battery terminals Full of cack - and old grease Brake cleaner works a treat here ![]() After Typically - as i undid the gearbox earthing mount - the last clondike put it on SOOO tight the earthing strap moved with it - Snapped it clean off So luckily i had a Alternator Style connector - so quick cut - clamp - tape up - its fixed ![]() + copper grease to stop it happening again Ziggy
