Grande Punto My 1.2 Active GP Black

Introduction

So this is my baby. I call her Phoebe lmao. now a list if what ive done/doing to her.

  • Tinted windows full black on rear windows
  • Tinted front windows to legal requirement
  • added wind deflectors
  • added punto decal (white) on the sides above skirts
  • added punto decals to wing mirrrors
  • punto overlay on rear middle break light (see pictures)
  • removal of punto badge on boot
  • added Aux lead to radio
all very basic things that set the car off nicely

things im currently doing:
  • alloys. already purchased there being delivered wednesday morning (silver multispoke wolfrace 15")
  • debadging front grill. again waiting for it to be delivered then a quick black spray and ill fir that no problem
  • also looking to fix the condensation in rear fiat badge
what i wanna do in the future. well theres only really lowering it that i really wanna do. but price is an issue. not just to have it done but i reckon insurance will rape me if i do that.

so what you think? i will of course post photos weekend of the Alloys and debadged grill. but for now a little imagination is necessary :D

Loving the debadge. Such a fantastic and simple mod. You need it dropped now, although i still has reservations about 15"s. I won't judge before i see it done though, as it may surprise me. Unless you have super chunky tyres i think it would still look a bit 'stilty'. Who knows :S

I think darkening your lights is going to compliment the look. You have a dark colour, dark tints, the rears are dark(ish)....why not do the headlights too.

Update: gear gator changed, looking at changing the knob. Ordered a new rear badge as the one I have is looking almost waterlogged. I've derusted callipers and drums ready to be painted black some point soon. and I'm getting the ball rolling with the lowering of the car but still on the ropes with it.

As a question anyone know if the steering wheel badge is easy to fix or replace? As I've dented mine hitting it very hard to honk the horn, :bang: Mega road rage at an old Asian women driving a Range Rover Sport cutting me up and nearly taking my front end out.

My new rear badge has come :D and so has my new ariel. Pics will be posted as soon as I have fitted them.

On a side note. Royal mail are f**ktards. They've only gone and lost my back to black stuff I bought off eBay. Luckily enought the seller has seen pity on my and sent me a new one out :) been waiting for the stuff for 2 weeks now. My wing mirrors are In serious need of some TLC lol.

I haven't managed to look yet either but is that little guard thing that comes out from under the car at the front necessary and is it easy to remove because whenever I see it I just wanna rip it off. What's it even for? My personal guess is a little bit more protection from bricks and debree from the road hitting the engine etc.?

that looks stunning mate. very nice indeed

Also for people interested I fitted the new badge. Mine was horrid (see pictures below) for anyone worried about changing it. Don't be. Its stupidly easy. I used a thin screwdriver, soapy water, sponge and a towel (you also obviously need the new badge with you. I started by gently pushing up on the bottom of the badge and lifting it slightly with my fingertips. You will start to hear the adhesive peeling. once you pull it a certain ammount I just put my thin screwdriver head underneath it without touching the visible paintwork and popped it off, easy as that (you may get a little mark on the paintwork behind the badge. I did but its obviously underneath where the new badge will be anyway so will never be visible). I then gave the 'hole' a quick clean with soapy water. dried until bone dry with a towel (so the adhesive sticks nicely. Pulled the protective paper off the adheasive on my new badge and pushed it on whilst being careful to align the pins to the holes in the boot. No need for any of this removing of the boot plastics in the door or anything. simple 2 minute job. now look at the results for £10
