Grande Punto RuSZ's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

Introduction

Well guess who's back in a Fiat after a year absence. :D

Here she is, my new Grande Punto with 13800 miles and one genuine lady owner. Its a 1.4l 16v StarJet Grande in Ska Red.

She's a 2009, Grande Punto GP Spec; 95bhp 92lbs/ft 1.4l Engine, Gen 2 Headlights and Sporting Fog lights, Carbon Effect dash, Blue&Me and 15" Alloys.

Recently been named Francesca the Fiat

Haven't really got many plans for her. Maybe lower. But have already got wind deflecters and the much needed iPod Blue&Me Adapter (y)

Re: RussJTD's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

The elbow joint onto the throttle body is a 70mm on mine but i think you couldgo smaller as i had to tighten up alot with a jubilee clip, I have got the OEM air box at home i will measure the inside diameter later on as im not at home at the minute :)

Re: RussJTD's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

Just measured throttle body end and its 50 mm inside diameter :) when I did mine I used the parts from sammclean23 from when he used it so slightly different but I used a 50 - 70mm jubilee clip so mine is snug tight, when i tightend it up :)

Re: RussJTD's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

cheers. (y) once i've got a BMC sorted i'll measure everything and get it put together. not exactly in a rush :)

Im happy with the GP today. filled her up for the first time since buying her. She's managed 41.9mpg! :woot:

Doesnt sound like a lot, but when the Astra often returned barely 29mpg im ecstatic :slayer:

370miles on 1 tank of petrol, much better than the Astra's 300..

Re: RussJTD's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

Thats good that on A long run you can get near 45-48 really good economy in my opinion too :)

No it only takes about half an hour to take the old one off and put the new one in :) especially if you already know what your doing and not going in blind :)

Re: RussJTD's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

Nice new whip man!
Love the colour, Nearly got an 07 in that colour when i got mine but decided to go for a Exotica instead as it stood out more ;) (+/- few other points)

Ive still got that pencil I owe you and Im about to make a £1 donation on your behalf ;)

How much do BMC CDAs go for nowadays?

So the TB diameter is 50mm? You say thats the inside, im presuming thats where the butterfly valve is.

would need the outer diameter. guessing that might be 56mm.

Reason i want to know is...

LOOK WHATS ARRIVED!!!!!! :slayer::slayer: (or more like I picked up )

Hi, I have measured the inside diameter of the pipe which attaches to the TB and it is exactly 51mm so that means the outer diameter of the TB is 51mm.

Hope this helps
