Grande Punto RuSZ's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

Introduction

Well guess who's back in a Fiat after a year absence. :D

Here she is, my new Grande Punto with 13800 miles and one genuine lady owner. Its a 1.4l 16v StarJet Grande in Ska Red.

She's a 2009, Grande Punto GP Spec; 95bhp 92lbs/ft 1.4l Engine, Gen 2 Headlights and Sporting Fog lights, Carbon Effect dash, Blue&Me and 15" Alloys.

Recently been named Francesca the Fiat

Haven't really got many plans for her. Maybe lower. But have already got wind deflecters and the much needed iPod Blue&Me Adapter (y)

Re: RussJTD's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

I bought it 2nd hand from a chap in Inverness (he was the one that took the sticker off), I never actually used it but it was intended to go into my 126 after an engine swap. I did however help Sam to get all the correct bits of piping, etc to fit his engine :)

Wow, been in a few pairs of hands then before it arrived with me :)

I cant believe someone took the stickers off it if im to be honest I would have prefered them on.

Yep you did!! was brill when it finally fitted but unfortunately, I needed a bit of extra cash and this was the only thing I could think to sell.

At least it's been put to good use though :D

Hey, looks like your wanting to do an induction kit for Starjet :)

I did mine using pippes which sammclean23 had from his 1.4 8v and added a 90 degree elbow bend and used his alloy t-piece as a connector :)

Quite easy to fit in as no breather pipe is attached to the air filter box, plenty of room at the front end to add the new Induction filter in.

Heres a picture of mine:-

Hope this helps :D

Looks good. like how its taken in front of the engine to where the standard airbox would come in (y)

Is there any noticable difference in sound/performance/torque. I would expect it to be minimal. but even so

It works, it just has a bit of condensation. ;)

Ordered the philips ones today Dom. ;)

Re: RussJTD's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

It has a quite roar when you put your foot down and if you are light on the throttle you only just hear it, which I like personally :)

There is only a small increase in power maybe 5-10hp imo.

Also it will only fit to where the standard box would be to as there isnt enough room anywhere else for the BMC :)

Re: RussJTD's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

You have to push the indicator towards the front of the car and then pull the other end towards you once its moved about a couple of centimetres to the fromt of the car :)

Hope this helps :)

Re: RussJTD's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

i changed my indicators couple of days ago, was b******* to get out tbh, just keep wiggling them and force them towards the front of the car and try and lift bottom bit out as your pushing, good luck :p

Re: RussJTD's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

Changed mine a few weeks back, came out no dramas, just pushed them towards the front of the car and popped them out. If they arent budging just keep wigglin them n maybe put a bit of wd40 round the edges.
