Grande Punto RuSZ's '09 StarJet Grande Punto

Introduction

Well guess who's back in a Fiat after a year absence. :D

Here she is, my new Grande Punto with 13800 miles and one genuine lady owner. Its a 1.4l 16v StarJet Grande in Ska Red.

She's a 2009, Grande Punto GP Spec; 95bhp 92lbs/ft 1.4l Engine, Gen 2 Headlights and Sporting Fog lights, Carbon Effect dash, Blue&Me and 15" Alloys.

Recently been named Francesca the Fiat

Haven't really got many plans for her. Maybe lower. But have already got wind deflecters and the much needed iPod Blue&Me Adapter (y)

you hand polished the car in 1 hour pah you never even worked the polish in especially useing paint renovator to remove the marks it initially inflicts ;)

bet it needs a good claying and fall out removal :p

use either UDS or EGP NOT THEM BOTH AS THEY WONT BOND TO EACH OTHER

Its not the one that i wanted, I was looking for the single oval same as on Andy's EVO, but this has been discontinued so can only get the 2 circle exit ones. Didnt realise when i ordered it, and the two have the same part number

I was going to get this but am worried about it making my GP louder. Does yours sound any different? I don't want to sound like a chav when I drive by people.

Havent taken it in for the gearbox issue yet. waiting for a little while on that.

Today gave it its first proper decent clean, and gone over with SR2 Polish and paint renovator :D she looks shiney again. later in the week giving her a proper go over.

But even @Andy Monty would be proud of the shine, to say i only spent 1hour on it ;)

Looking nice and glossy :p
What wax/sealant/both are you using?

i need to clay the F*ck out of my car as the previous owner must have liked the look of millions of tiny tar spots all over the rear end.. :bang:

I suppose if youve got it, use it haha
Have you tried any premium waxes?
Ive been through a few, Poorboys Nattys Paste wax, Megs Gold class caranuba plus liquid wax (not really premium), Collinite 915 and Dodo Juice Orange Crush. All are amazing products and not too bank breaking.
I used Autoglym SRP and it didnt really give me the results that I expected, Its more of a synthetic wax than a polish :/

Tom

I only use poorboys SSR-2 polish to get out light scratches and swirls.

I'm a believer that you can get the same result with cheap stuff as you can with the top brands, so often buy the cheaper £1-£3 stuff from my local Auto Factors

Ive seen some pretty decent results with cheaper products but from experience Ive had, cheap waxes dont last a week in poor weather, the Collinite 915 lasts 3 or 4 weeks worth of heavy rain and 300+ miles a week.

Ill have a look at SSR-2 :)

Been sorting out the sound system today. now got the Sub and Speakers fitted on the standard Headunit. (y)

From These

To These :D

And to attach the sub to the standard headunit, you'll need one of these. They take standard High Level output that your speakers use, and convert it to RCA output to use on an Amp :slayer: Thanks to Andy Monty for the heads up ;)

Obviously the standard HU doesnt have a Remote Out, so hacked into the Cig Lighter feed :D

And finished cleaning the car too :D

Spot the issue...

A few pictures from the weekend at YorkshireITALIA's Dales Day Out.

Over 100miles of driving around the Yorkshire Dales, playing with the Cinq of Freebo, ChrisUK, Stotty5's & dombooth's Grandes, @@andy monty's EVO and the surprisingly quick Panda of Mr_PANDY  and the Audi

This morning when I was waiting for someone, I was playing with the camera, and ended up taking this. Thought it was cool
