Hi, had a little check on this forum and on others, and couldn't find any solutions to my problem.

Basically the interior light has no function. I've checked every fuse in the fuse box, and I've also had the light out of the headliner, and the filament looks intact.

I don't have a multimeter so can't check continuity or voltage in the circuit, so before I go out and buy one, are there any other common faults I should check?

Regards,

Rogo.

Hi: Does your luggage compartment light work ? Have you checked F2 40amp in the underbonnet fusebox ? For this sort of fault I normally use a simple test lamp before getting out the Multimeter, it's normally quicker and easier.
If you want to check the bulb without a multimeter, the easiest way to do it is: Take it out, connect a length of wire to 1 end & then hold the wire on 1 battery terminal & touch the other end of the bulb to the other battery terminal if the bulbs good then it should light. You can also do the same test across a PP3 battery.
Just 1 thing: If your not used to fault finding, this is'nt the easiest of circuits to trace.

Also worth changing the bulb anyway. Bulbs can fail inside the connecting pins where you can't see. Easier than doing tests and bulbs are cheap.

Where do you buy your bulbs ? Around here most of the parts places are charging £2.50 + each for a 12v 5 watt Festoon bulb or £2.99 each in Halfords.
