133 My 1976 Fiat 133

Introduction

Got My Fiat 133 running today for the first time in a few years!
The engine sounded and ran great, but the fuelpump was pissing....
must change it... Ordered a new one today...

Had it running for a day a few years back, but haven´t driven it for 5-7 years

It has the 843cc engine, the same as the 850. Mine has a weber 32 dir carb, othervise original except for removed bumpers and a added stereo and speakers and being lowered in the front...

The plan is to restore/rebuild it this summer...
The color will change a bit, going for a darker green, british racing green maybe...
Inside I´m changing the front seats,(picked up 2 seats from a citroën ax today for 20€ /pc ) removing the backseat, and probably build a box for the speakers where the backseat was...

Might do some engine modifications on it also...

Maybe a engine swap later, but probably not this year...Except if I find a cheap 903cc from a 850 that is just to throw in there...
Looks nice. It's always good to see what, if you'll forgive the expression, must be one of the forgotten models of the FIAT range. Really good to see it. It may have a Weber carb, but that could well be the sort of mod that people would have carried out in'76.

Thanx! Yeah, I think they sold only about 300 cars in Finland, and maybe 80% of them has been used in a special rally competition in finland called JOKKIS where they put twincam engines in them and drive them til nothing is left...

Actually I put the 2 port Weber carb in it about 10 years ago... I never had time or money to do anything else back then though, so I didn´t get it running so good, changed the nozzles back and forward, and got it running ok, but I would have needed to put a racing exhaust at least, to make it play better!

Great looking car! looks to be in very good condition.. How long have you had it?
Is it still original paint or has it had restoration already?

Good luck with your future plans, hope you will keep us posted ;)

Oh and welcome to FF!
Thanx, It has been in our family for 25 years or so... My father bought it to pick me up from kindergarden in 86-87.
I got it when I turned 17 in -98.
Drove it for 3-4 years, 99-02 and lowered the front, put a cd player in it, changed the carb and some smaller repairs back then...
But then I went 450km away to go to school and bought a Blue/purple VW Polo 6N -95 in -05.
(Now I have a Polo Variant SDI -01 and a Passat Variant TDI -04)

The Paint is original, It has a quite a few patches that shows if you take a closer look, but it is in good cood condition!

well at least the polo suffered the youngsters passion for colour coding everything, bodykits etc and not the 133 :p Its looks spot on as it is ;)
The polo was that way when I bought it.(n)
Never coming a bodykit on my 133! I also think it´s quite nice as it is...

Might do some minor changes, remove the list maybe, and change some lights perhaps...
We´ll see....

Darker green it will become, that´s for sure!
