Grande Punto My Grande Punto "Winston"

Introduction

Hello All,

I have been a member on the forum for a few months and been reading the site most days, I only passed my test in September 2011 and got my GP at the end of September 2011. Please take a look at my GP and please give me some ideas as to what mods I should undertake to next.

Please note I already plan to have the following done:-

1) Lower the back and front.
2) Install a K&N 57I Induction Kit (depending on the feedback I get from you guys.
3) Chrome upper and lower front grille.
4) X-one roof spoiler.

Any other mods anyone can think of that would make my GP look the best it can look would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards
Stephen
Afternoon All :D

With regards to my Abarth's I would like to think that from the middle/end of April they will be on the car! :slayer:

Well a few nice parcels arrived:

Can't wait to try the poorboys black hole stuff read some great stuff. In terms of the bulbs they are for the indicator side repeaters and the rear number plate.

Also, I have managed to fit some rear grande punto mud guards on the front! I wanted these ones as the "Punto" logo was on them and I wanted all to be matching so I painted the "Punto" logo chrome and then gave them a heavy coat of Meguiars Tire Gel.

I must admit the cutting of the mud guards wasn't too bad need a nice fresh Stanley knife and a cutting board and keep your finger out of the way lol Andy Monty gave me that tip. Was a little bit of a PITA but it is done now.

Also a quick pic from last night as it was Fill Up Friday lol:

the mud flaps look really good! Good idea with the wheels, wait until the nice weather :) I have the poorboys gear, it leaves a slick finish but i think the marks on mine are too deep for the filler to cover them, but it gives an amazing finish!

Mjet220 i used poorboys blackhole on my girlfriends mk2 punto.
Used it via a DA on a finishing pad.

As you can see its filled a lot of the hazing but left the deeper marks.

You have to seal it with a wax or sealant afterwards or all the fillers will wash off really quickly.

Sweex that's the results I get with it. I didn't think it was great but it just isn't th product needed to get rid of scratches. I'm sure SJB1985 will get it looking amazing

It gets good results for what it is mate.
You need a proper compound based product.
A lot of random deep scratches (probably what you couldnt get rid of) are very hard to get out as they can be very deep.

I only used it on my girlfriends for a quick clean up.

thanks i will give it a try but yeah i would be waxing again :) SJB1985 seems to like cleaning his car a lot so hopefully he knows some other products or you may? Don't want to hijack his thread!
I clean mine every saturday done it yesterday, but working as a valleter I use a lot of stuff we use at work, which is a lot of auto glym and neilsons, I prefer neilsons which is cheaper , I won't hijack much lol

Good evening all,

So I have installed my new Osram Chrome indicator repeaters and have also installed Osram Blue Intense side light bulbs. I am now running Osrams all round lol

Once the bulbs were installed I then gave the car a very good cleaning starting with some Carbon Collective Satsuam Snow Foam:

Once the car have been rinsed of the snow foam I then washed the car using the 2BM with Carbon Collective Lusso Shampoo.

Then took to the task of drying the car (I must admit this is one part I don't enjoy too much so I am going to invest in an electric dryer) that might put a little more fun into it for me lol I cant be the only one who hates the drying part :D

This is how the car looked once it was dry:

Now time for some Poorboys SSR1, Black Hole and some EX-P here are the results of that little lot (y):

I then went a little OTT even for by standards and then gave the entire car a nice heavy coating of Meguiars Carnuba Wax just to finish off:

Thanks for looking lads,

As always comments and feedback more than welcome :)

Stephen

Must be something wrong with both of you!
I love drying the car!
If you've got some half decent sealant or wax on there then you can use a open ended hose and sheet all the water off then you just use a microfibre drying towel, takes about 5 mins if that ;) no smears either!
