Regarding the iPod cable i got one of these (link below), basically it makes the headunit think the ipod is the cd changer so you are able to use the buttons on the headunit to control the ipod i.e. left or right = skip forward or back a song and up or down to change playlist. Its really good and better than an after market headunit I think anyway.

Anyway todays proceedings went as follows, passenger side wing off to access door hinges for re-alignment (door fell a couple of centimeters when it opened) then went on to fixing the small oil leak I had coming from behind the camshaft sprocket turned out I needed a new seal so got one from local fiat dealer. Pictures of work below.

not bad, cheaper than an aftermarket stereo I guess, but im pritty sure you can get a cheaper version...

did you change the timing belt whilst you the engine exposed like that?

Hi

timing belt, water pump and tensioner were all done 6 months ago, so didnt really see the need to change any of them and the belt wasn't soaked in oil from that leak which was lucky, going to get the alternator belt changed on tuesday if the parts arrive also thinking of changing all the badges to red Abarth ones i think it would look good against the grey paint.

Haven't updated in a while due to being busy, and since my last update i have had all sorts of issues with the car including seized radiator cooling fan, cooling system leak from bottom hose and the cooling bleed screw snapped. I managed to fix all this and for now it seems to be working again.

So took the chance to get the car washed and waxed properly and its looking good and have some fun with the car in this weather
