looking rather good for its age 1995 no rust no dents no deep scuffs

i previously owned a mk1 punto 60s but ive always wanted a cinq so after i purchased cinq i striped the punto down to bear chassis including engine and gearbox :D loom and so on ive been collecting parts for the 1.2 conversion for a while p75 cams full engine rebuild re skim using a big cnc machine from college :) cinq gearbox and mounts ect

for the mot i will run injection na but after its gone through mot i will be running 1.2 although toying with the idea of 1.4 gp engine and cento head on a carb set up intention is to completely have the engines modular so i can swap engines around quickly one injected standard then one carb turbo so its easy to develop the setup and get the dam thing through emissions mot time

has anyone got the pinouts for the standard cento spi ecu just want to create a simple loom without chopping into the cars lights ect just wan them separate

so update time..... green car has unfortunately gone was not happy with the rebirth of the front end and the general condition of the cars shell :(. have no fear though all the good bits from green went of blue :slayer: the cheap mot passed and turboed all on a weekend cento :D sticking with the 8v platform for now just going to develop the sh*t out of a 1.2 best i can now we have purchased a nifty CNC for the 3d printers:devil: and working on something big with the 3d printers that will be of benefit to us 8v chaps may involve casting a new head but thats quite a bit of for now (n)

anyway back to the blue turbo cento i managed to get a full 13psi of boost on a bog standard 1.1 that lasted about 700 miles until catastrophic hg failure not sure of the cause but loss of all power and temps really high broke down on the a1 just after quite a fast stint on the way to london just happened to have a used hg in the boot but didn't feel up to it  so i just had to get in recovered home 60 miles away. 300 quid later and i was home :bang::cry: pulled it into the garage today head of in no time and traight down to euro cp 10 quid for brand new hg happy days no time to fit and its back on the road :slayer: still on the standard 1.1. currently building the 1.2 indented to be high boost should be fun :).

having issues uploading pictures atm will upload later on or from phone (y)

Strange one but after the head gasket change under load pull 2k to 3k splutter and popping (maybe det) when it dose sideband says its running lean for like a millisecond then its fine and at idle its like 16+ could it be timing  timed it up about 3 times now seams to bit right fuel pressure rises as it should ect stumped

16 is pretty lean tbh... what does it read on a pull? And what does it read when it does this lean and pop you speak of?

Whats the actual setup??
is this an mpi engine?
is it running (assuming mpi) stock injectors with extra injectors for boost? Or do you have someking of piggyback or aftermarket ecu running it and just the 4 injectors (and are they stock injectors).
What fuel pressures are you running?
What AFR do you get on full boost (and what is full boost), and whats the AFR on partial load?

on pull it reads in-between 11-12 which is ideal just for that split second it reads 16 just as the boost begins so I'm thinking air pressure reference is not quick enough for puel pressure regulator to up the pressure so I'm going to go out in a min and run no boost and se if its related to boost or not.

and the set up it van anken esentualy k03 turbo on a bone stock 1.1 engine with vananken mf2 fueling rs2000 fuel injector and pump

mmmm, random one that is... I would guess a bit more fuel pressure to the 2nd injector would help? if its a spi sei i would check the pressure across the primary injector as i have found the pressure to vary quite a bit from factory, some are as low as 0.8bar and i have found they need to be 1.0-1.2bar to not lean out as boost comes in and the 2nd injector takes over.. The mpi setup works a bit different being non-return rail - not really messed with a non-return system before myself.
Could also just need to tweak up the fuelling up on the lower part(s) of the mf2

figured it out i thing although its a very strange issue since it ran fine before the head gasket failure hence i trusted it to get me to london instead of going in the up! i think its the boost reference for the fuel pressure regulator i think i will attempt to modify a injector section to bypass the biult in regulator and just run the 2 injectors of the boost referencing fpr. only a temp fix however going to go canems engine management.

also think i may have damaged the turbo with the oil+water flowing through it pity dam head gasket went that very day i had sorted the exhaust leak.
started work on the 1.2 purpose built engine 8v same turbo set up maybe compound with a bigger turbo (dependent how enthusiastic tommy gets turbo guru) or just use a ko4.

will try to upload pictures agin had no luck on phone think the file is to big.

tbh i wouldn't trust a cheap HG on a turbo FIRE engine, i would stick to genuine fiat at least or a payan or spesso one. I would bet this is gonna pop another HG in the not too distant future. Is probably why it went in the first place if it had a cheapy one then.

Look forward to seeing some pics though (y)

Update time its back ! what i thought to be fueling issues and the wideband going all over the place was a simple misfire due to the oil i had spilt down no1 spark plug hole . and the rich showing on the sideband was a slight leak from the turbo flange.

i just love the look on peoples faces when a crappy looking cinquecento flies past :D 2015 its going to be painted and refinish the abarth parts got to be the worst fitted spoiler ever silicone everywhere  .

also had it tracked other day so it now drives nice, going to get a move on with restoring my pentas i had managed to find 4x100 scoured the internet have yet to find the same looking set :yum: again in appalling condition but restored the lip with a hand file

right updates pictures to follow... cinq is boosting very well peeks at 25 psi at moment but not that that translates into forward motion :p loads of clutch slip from 3k plus fpr cant keep up it would seam leans out quickly. got the upgrade clutch cars in the garage pulling engine out tomorrow converted to r5 turbo carb now and panda distributor. hopefully that can keep up with the rapid boosting already upgraded the brakes front and back gt3s on the front and uno turbo on the back managed to blow the first turbo (think it was on its way out when i got it) now have an issue with low oil pressure at idle but ordered oil pressure gauge to keep an eye on the stats.

5th gear 70 mph hits boost clutch slips like crazy think this is going to be one fast cinquecento :D

updates cinq has 190mm flywheel back on injection and running fine apart from lowish oil pressure think the block was a duff maybe although i have a new project non fiat but cool non the less Stagea RS4 import manual conversion at the moment so cinq is the work horse at the moment and of course loving it as always :D. plus i have a nice big workshop for all 3 of the toys will upload pictures later...

not been all go though turbo went bang month ago maybe due to low oil pressure or just a dud but as per with the cinq replacing the turbo matter of 20 mins. also while the flywheel was out new seal for the crank (may have contributed to clutch slip). fixed the fuel problem with 2 fuel pressure regs. tb at 1.5 bar and injector at 3 bar both completely separate.
