X1/9 My 1974 X1/9 Electric

Introduction

I recently purchased a 1974 Bertone X1/9 that has been converted to all-electric. Here are the pictures of how it looks as as purchased. Since I received it I've replaced the seats, fixed the dash and working on upgrading the electrics. Even the current setup with 144v DC and 500a max controller, the electric motor can putout more horsepower than the stock gas engine.
The current / original batteries are 100ah AGM (sealed) lead acid batteries. The usable range is about 25 miles, but 2 of the batteries are low and drop out before that range. The charger is 110v/220vac and right now isn't able to recharge the pack properly due to the batteries imbalance issue. I've temporarily installed individual charger to achieve some balancing, but this is just a stop-gap.

I didn't buy this conversion because of these batteries but because it's a great candidate for installing higher capacity lithium batteries. My goal is to put in enough batteries to achieve at least a 100 miles/charge range. And the car needs proper instrumentation to track the energy usage. So I'll provide updates as the upgrade progresses.
