500 Our New Fiat 500 1.2 Lounge

Introduction

Well, after a couple of weeks waiting since we ordered, here is our 500. Bought as a cheap runaround, it should serve the purpose perfectly. Nice to drive, fairly relaxing. Only driven it a couple of miles so far, its currently sat on the drive at home while we are at work.

Should get a good little run in it this evening. Hope its not really rubbish on the motorway, having come from having 200bhp+ daily drivers.

Really glad we chose Breakbeat Grey (Silver) as its less common and easy to keep clean. (Im a detaling freak though). I will post more pics once ive gotten the car up to my standards, with a couple of layers of SN wax for winter protection.

Thanks for the offer. Not a fan of tailgate carriers really. I prefer not to take a mucky bike in the car, and thats usually where the dog crate needs to be as well. I used a roof rack and thule pro ride 591 cycle carriers on the Clio 200 and they were fantastic. 5 minutes to fit and super secure.

That's no problem. I wouldn't go down the roof rack route because I've already been there.

To be honest though, in the Clio 200, the foot packs on my roof bars actually bolted to roof panel just above the rear of the b panel, and also under the door seal between the a and b pillars. So they werent going anywhere. Little bit more wary of clamped on feet .
