Bravo Bravo Abarth Conversion.

Introduction

I always thought that the Bravo is such a beautiful car and would look amazing in Abarth livery. So I set out on this project which I have really enjoyed doing. I also really love the hidden exhausts rather than the twin pipes on the back also which is why I have no plans to change the back end of the box. Currently Running at a "restricted" 175BHP and 209ft/lb of torque, it currently has more torque than the 695 Tribute 500!

So i've slowly been doing work to my Bravo over the last 1.5years! Thought it was finally time to post up whats been done and get some opinions! Won't be for everyone but welcome all opinions! :D

So I started with my 150 T-Jet below (as standard)

So my first modification was Hid's which were 4300k's:

Then I got my GSR installed and remapped:

I have some restrictive problems with my Cat on the exhaust, which is backing up my exhaust so my power is flat-lining higher up. This will be sorted in the next couple of months. It's plenty fast enough at the moment.

Next I got my Abarth badges and Alloy wheels for my car:

Afterwards I made a new Abarth Key in the new style:

And I got a new engine cover and set of car mats to go with it:

And finally, replaced my steering wheel with a new one from a 500 Abarth:

When I finally get my new Exhaust parts I can also fit my Esseesse boost sensors to regulate the boost better too:

So with that completed so far, some further modifications include:
-New downpipe with sport cat from TMC and Esseesse boost sensors
-Grande Punto Abarth Seats
-Maybe some new Springs and Dampeners
-New Brakes/Tyres

Thanks For Looking! :D
Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

I love the mods you have done I always wanted to Abarth my Bravo up and agree they should have made an Abarth version but I can't help feel that all these mods would have looked better on the Bravo Sport. Not sure if you have the Active or Dynamic but I always thought the Sport would be the one to go for unless in the future you got some sort of body kit. I don't mean it in a bad way but otherwise it looks like a standard bravo with a few badges which is a shame with all the mods already gone into it, that steering wheel is awesome lol

Thanks for the comments, the steering wheel is my favourite bit too!

I was wondering if there was anything specific on the outside that it was missing? Maybe something to think about for future additions! I eventually will have a spoiler and the twin exhausts, and I already have the rear bottom splitter to fit that in. What else were you thinking? :)

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

The spoiler, exhaust would definitely help, the splitter off of the sport is not that much different. A dual exhaust would look good, especially if it was both sides of the car. Expensive mod though. I think to pull of the Abarth look it definitely needs lowering and side skirts. I would put the side badges on the bottom rear of the side skirts and not the side of the car. The badges look really small on Bravo from the photos are they the same size as the 500 ones?

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

defo go for the red abarth decals up the side, there hella cheap off ebay and will make ur conversion look even better (y)

planning on lowering 50mm or so?

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

Nice progress, very nice car :)

If it was mines I would drop the car down a bit, the look you're going for I'd say 30mm all round and fit bigger wheels to fill the arches like the high spec Abarths do. Red side mirrors would look the nuts too :)

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

If I had a Bravo, that's what I would want to do too.

No official Abarth version ever...! This would be an excellent alternative.

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

Yeah, I have got in mind the Eibach pro kit for the 30mm all round lowering! Even with it lowered at the moment the front still catches on some things, which is why I haven't done it yet, but I have recently moved and with the newer roads its not so bad! Once i get them fitted the wheels should fill the arches alright ;)

Got the Engine cover from a Abarth dealer, partsworld-uk.com. The badges are from the GP and are bigger that they look in the pictures! :D

I am would like to do the decals but I have a feeling I would fail hard at doing them! I will get guts to do it soon then!

Just have to decide what I am going to do next! (y)

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

Really poor mock up of the Red strips and Mirrors! does deffo need a spoiler now looking at it! :D Thoughts?

Would look tasty like that :yum:

Ive always been a Nouvo Bravo fan, and its a shame theres no official version, but this is looking nice. subscribed to it too ;)

I know a company that can make up those stripes for you if you want.. They did some GP Abarth ones similar for me and they longer than my actual car before cutting down, so would easily be long enough for a Bravo (y)

... NO! haha ;)
OPPS!!! I meant to click LIKE!!!

Hey. yeah i measured the length require it was about 190cm instead of the standard 170cm, so I would be interested in how much it would be to get them at this size instead!

In regards to the steering wheel it was suprisingly easy to do! I thought it would have been more complicated!

in regards to updates! I have a Dual exhaust back box comign and a new downpipe coming at the end of the month! After i got those on I can finally fit my Abarth SS boost sensors then its time for another RR! :D

Re: Bravo Abarth Conversion

So, after the conversations about the exhaust, I started to look around and a MIGHTY £1.15 (one pound and fifteen pence!) I now have a new backbox. I also have the downpipe arriving at the end of the month so it will all be swapped over then. pics below!
