Nice, big improvement matey and I like the colour. Now I'm not one for big mods but a nice set of OEM Fiat 17's and some eibach springs will make it look the nuts (y)

Are Fiat wheels a mod? Surely it's a manufacturer part therefore not strictly a mod? I've just rec'd my 18" Abarth SS wheels and I don't think I need to tell my insurer?

That sucks, get a new insurer I say. The one I've learnt about insurance is that if someone will give you a cheap quote then so will someone else!

Infect I save around £40 a year just by playing them off against each other :D

Tried everywhere and I just can't afford anywhere else,

This with InsureTheBox costs £3200 for 6000 miles, then £400 for every next 1000 you go over - working out at £4800.

Cheaper than the others though.

thats really **** tbh :(

Do you think you will keep going over 1000 mile? I know I would, do ~ 1200 each month.

Could you really not find anywhere cheaper :(

Very **** indeed, last year I did about 10000.

If you don't mind me asking Dom, how old are you? Got any NCB? Been driving long? etc

I'm 18, no NCB, driving a year, 1 fault claim that I didn't have a choice about - (guy pulled out of a line of stationary traffic as I was crossing and hit my wing.) It wasn't my fault but insurers basically said 'admit it now or we're cancelling your insurance'.

get a quote from liverpool victoria, it will be the same price but you wont have a ****ty box in ur car, and also get ur mum on as 2nd driver if she has like 15 years no claims

I got insured in april wth Bell for £2000 mate. 1 year NCB, 1 accident (not my fault but like you said it doesnt matter), 3 points. Im 18 too.

But then again, month to month the times change. Your postcode may affect it too, although mine is a really bad one and parked on a public car park.

Maybe just keep ringing around periodically, your company should refund if you cancel.

Good luck :)

Thanks, I'll keep trying but it seems doubtful.

I just can't believe how badly they treat young drivers! I've never paid more than £1200 for insurance and that was with 3 points and an at fault claim when I was 18.

Now they charge ridiculous amounts for yound drivers. I'm not that much older than you guys but I only have to pay £450 for my Abarth. Why are you so much more of a risk? It doesn't make sense to me!

I know, it's just total crap.

after 1 years no claims and no points it drops around 30% , well its going to for me so its quite good.

however its so high because of the people that dont insure there car not because of the ones that do :/

Im 18 atm almost 1 years no claims, my insurance is 3.2 k a year

I Have a decent payed job luckyly in this climat so i got a quote on a 1.9 mjet , 3.8k a year (thats with 1 years no claims)

I cant win, its gonna be 1.2's untill im like 40 lol
