im from berkshire, i did speak to one other bloke, but it seems not many people are from this area - im gonna get a few more quotes from garages etc and then seriously look into doing myself - cheers

you can buy coil spring compressors on ebay for 10 to 20 quid just dont buy the real cheapos i dont and never will trust them, no specific reason but if its cheap then its usually cheap for a reason,
and if you do diy then im sure there are a fair few people on here that will be able to give you a hand if not ill see if i can dig out some pics of when i done mine

cheers

Lee

well car was lowered today sits about 50mm lower than standard and i love it, its still fairly comfortable too, just cant get on my drive as its a slope lol so i catch my exhaust - and as im having a custom cherrybomb exhaust made dont wanna keep catching it lol will post pix up 2moro.

did you try reversing instead? at as greater angle as your driveway allows.. it should settle a bit so its only gonna get worse that problem.
get some pics up.. chop chop.

yeah will reverse on, i sometimes do anyway, if not ill just park at the top of my driveway instead the bottom of it, you can probs fit 9 cars on my drive way lol :slayer:

so my cherrybomb exhaust arrived this morning, so that will be off to be fitted in the next few weeks, then its onto carrying on with my mirrors and smoothing the front bonnet badge off as well as taking care of the dent in it too. Looking at sorting out my brakes and brakelines and then a damm goo service.

Cherry-Bombs away!!!!! :devil::devil::devil:

Re: New Lo'.....

how do i get the door handles off to prime them? or would it be ok if i just masked up really well around? i dont wanna do this, as its too risky imo.

so i started to try n figure out how to fit my bulet mirrors today - so far ive made a baseplate but my queary is a) i dont know whether to mould/tigerseal the baseplate to the door and then tigerseal the mirror to baseplate, or i was going to redrill 2 new holes in the door and bolt it the to the side, there is however 2 holes already on the side (as per pix) can i just drill straight through next to it, are there any special precautions i need to take, ive never drilled this close to windows/glass etc - they wont shatter etc will they?
ive done a crappy paint pic to show where i wanna drill 2 new holes.

decided against drilling into the actual door as it didnt line up 100% bolted the mirror to my custom baseplate and tigersealed it. waiting for it to dry.
