500 Miklysas Fiat 500 Cup!.

Introduction

Hi! I'm new to this forum and to Fiat :) I bought this 500 Cup when I was on vacation. I was up late one night on the internet and found this for sale in Oslo, Norway so I drove down and sold my BMW and bought this. The car is a 2008 model which had only run approx 14000 miles when I bought it two weeks ago! It's a 1.4 sport 100hp with sportmode, fully automatic aircon (haven't seen that on many 500's) and, of course, it's the all-so-rare Cup model! :D
I will upload more detailed pictures later, as these are taken using my phone.. Needed something to send my friends for bragging rights, right? :D

I'm having a hard time finding words to describe how it is to drive. It's very firm since it's lowered and has wider rims and tires than the standard model. But when I press the sport-button and give the car full throttle through a twisty road, that's when I know what a fantastic car it is! It hugs down to the asphalt, clipping the apexes without any problems, giving an insane rush, thus putting a smile from ear to ear on my face :) All the time people come up to me and ask about the car and if they can take a picture of it. "Go ahead" I usually say. I've never smiled so much when I'm driving to and from work..

As I said I will upload better pictures later on, both of the interior and exterior. But that's not going to happen before I give the car a proper round of Autoglym HD-Wax ;) Please let me know what you think :)

Looking good

Re: Miklysas Fiat 500 Cup!

Have to say I'm really not a fan, the rear spoiler looks like a handle. BTW there never was a "cup" model, it's just a lester bodykit and some stickers someone has put on.

Re: Miklysas Fiat 500 Cup!

You're right that Fiat never made a Cup-model, but a company in Austria called MS Design did. And this is it.

But it's not a different model, it's only a bodykit, if I wanted to make my car a "cup" I could put the bodykit on

Re: Miklysas Fiat 500 Cup!

Congratulations on the 'new' Cup 500 Miklysas (y). It's great to see something a little different and by all accounts you seem to be really enjoying the 100bhp engine. Love to hear about the mods done on the car - I take it that they're 17inch with 205x40x17 tyres. Scenery is breathtaking - what a beautiful part of the world. I reckon you make the most of the summers up there.(y)

You're allmost right. The price for the fitment of the kit is somwhere around 6k£. MS Design either bought a 500 from the factory or did the job for a customer. The cars were all 1.4 sport models with the highest level of extras. The kit concists of flared wheel arches, front and rear bumper lips, roof and bootlid spoilers, special 17" rims with welded on spacers (they're one part, not just wheel and spacer), Vogtland lowering springs, and spraying + fitting. Quite expensive indeed.

Well, I'm actually planning on having the windows tinted a bit. And maybe the tail lights slightly. But time will show. I've got a girlfriend who's sick and tired of me spending my money and my time on my cars, but it's a passion and I can't just stop :)

When it comes to price I don't wanna tell exactly how much I paid. But as cars in general are MUCH more expensive in Norway, I can say that it was enough. But there was only made 100 of these by MS Design and a few kits have been sold separately so I think it was worth it :)

Let me give you a price comparison to show you how expensive Norway is:
A 2011 BMW M3 Coupe starts at 54,690£ in the UK.
The same car in Norway starts at 1.530.800 NOK which by todays currency comes to 173.582£.. So yeah I'm not going to tell you :p

Gratulerer! I like the kit, it looks like a bully. ;)

I don't know this exact car, but in general I would guess around 22-23 000 GBP (half of this is taxes). But who cares, it's not comparable anyway.

The windows are fine as they are, spoiler is good too as long as you are a young guy getting out of the car. The older you get the less mods on a car you suite you, unless buying expensive sports car.

Love the backdrops.
