Bravo (Classic) the budget bravo.

Introduction

well, here it is! £86 off ebay :D

90k miles, 17" TSW alloys, Uprated springs and shocks, Exhaust system, induction kit, tinted windows, DVD player, New brakes all round....

so far ive ripped out a cheap crap allarm system, thrown the DVD player away, realised that the exhaust isnt attatched to the cat properly, the rear lights have been badly tinted so im cleaning that poxy rubbish off and fixed the induction kit on properly because duck tape and cable ties dont work too well :bang:

Ive got a few plans for it and i'll keep the pics coming as i do the work...

been an eventful day today, ive done the rings round the clocks white along with the needles (they look brilliant) took my better half to work and on the way back i really struggled getting second, it gradually got worse as the day ent on in all gears. i know the clutch has been noisy since i had it and i think today the release bearing has finally given up. so im spending the day with my daughter tomorrow and fitting a new clutch sunday. there should be pleanty of pics and quite a lot of swearing lol

A lot of car for not a lot of money, a capture well done! :D I haven't seen one of that year in that good of condition and I've seen a fair few... ;)

Yes alarms are pointless with the immobiliser and they tend to fail after a few years (n)

If youre going for a seat upgrade, you could get seats from an Alfa 147 3 door, I'm assuming you'll be keeping this one as a car ;) They come in cloth or leather, your choice but any seat is better than the ones in these cars. A set of cloth seats can be as little as £20 for a full set, fronts and rears and are much nicer to sit into (y)

Out of curiosity, what grommet did you use for blanking the wiper hole? I used one from a Ducato van, was the right size (y)

I'll be watching this thread, best of luck with the car! :D

well, managed to do the clutch in 6 hours, not the easiest but not too bad... only problem is that ive lost reverse and i cant get the gear stick to sit back in the middle. i used the centre from an old office chair wheel for the rear window, i still love the car and i think i'll be keeping it. it was immaculate with no dents until i lost my rag when the gearbox trapped my finger, its got a lovely fist mark in it. not to worry though because ive got something special planned for it ;)

Cheers m20b25, i'm keeping an eye on your thread and well done on it so far.

i bought a cheap draper tool last week when i did my father in laws focus clutch, only cost just over a tenner and is much easier and quicker.

it's taken 6 hrs to do the clutch but its taking me ages to find reverse again lol
