500 Enzo.

Introduction

We picked up our Volare Blue 1.4 Sport last Tuesday, and have called him Enzo. He's our 2nd 500, replacing Bepe, our previous 1.4 Sport. Unfortunately, we couldn't spec red leather again, with Volare Blue, but am happy with the black leather, and all the bits 'n' bobs that we didn't have on Bepe.
Re: Enzo

Love the pics. Red painted calipers really show off the all round disc brakes and the 5 o-spokes are my favourite. Beautiful spec. Enjoy the 100bhp engine and the ESP and the sports suspension and the cheaper servicing - no tappets to adjust. (y) Enjoy.

Re: Enzo

I love that colour with those stripes!

The thing that stands out most for me are those lovely seats.

They are so much nicer looking than the 'strobe' check on the Lounge that we have.

Re: Enzo

Your 500 looks identical to one I saw in Holmfirth last week (Tues?), parking up near the indoor market. Was that you? either way, your 500 looks a beauty. And if it was you, thanks for the helpful advice. I was the guy that got out of the silver mini.

Hiya mate. Was wondering if it was your 500 in the members motor gallery, as yours is pretty unique.I had 2 test drives yesterday, a twin air pop and 1.4 lounge. Dealer told me I can't order a sport any more and I wasn't too keen on the twin air pluses black alloys. Haven't ordered yet as can't decide between the twin air or 1.4, but my heart says 1.4, either way it'll be a lounge in Volare blue with standard alloys and black leather and rear spoiler. I'm going to ask the dealer if he can get me 16" multispoke alloys for free, bit cheeky, but worth a try, he can only say No. How's your little beauty doing?

What about a lounge twinair then - that way you get to choose your wheels (y) and you get the (supposed) benefits of owning a twinair. The car I have just sold was a 1.4 and I'm getting a TA - the 1.2 didn't have enough oomph for me and I decided that I'd rather give the eco driving thing a go than go for a 1.4 in the end.

As I won't be using the car for work,(unless it's bucketing down),as the school I teach at is only 10 minutes walk away, I've decided to go for the 1.4 Lounge in Volare blue, black leather, 16" O-spoke alloys and red brake callipers, and have a spoiler fitted by Fiat.
Ordering tomorrow, before which I'll probably change my mind on spec/engine half a dozen times. I've test-driven both 1.4 and twin air 'again', the 1.4 still has the edge, but should I be 'greener'?:bang:. Must say the dealer is being very patient with me.

I'm secretly hoping that it does stay rare (y) The only other Volare I've seen around here happens to belong to someone who lives near my parents :)

Perhaps in 25 to 30 years time, when Fiat 500s appear in Classic car mags and classic car ads, the Ye Ye Greens and volare blues will command a premium because they're the rarer colours. I wonder how the pink ones will fare?;)

Just curious to know how many other Volare Blue 1.4 Sports there are with the white side stripes? I know there's a Twin Air Lounge on this forum in Volare Blue with the white side stripe and the same alloys.

I've not seen another one in the same colour combination as mine in the 10 months since I took delivery of Enzo.

Mmmmm - cool car!

Dreamy setting, too.

Didn't notice a Mary available on the Configurator tho.......
