Stilo Enzo, my shumey GP.

Introduction

now i've finally got some decent photos of Enzo which don't have my house in the background, i can now show my him off in all his glory! ........so here he is, a 2006 stilo schumacher GP, number 186. He's almost standard only for a few areas. The suspension been further lowerd with Ebach springs, 8mm spacers at the rear, 5mm at the front, red stuff front and rear pads, goodridge braided brake hoses, a GSR induction pipe, and a momo duke gear knob.
standard power for this car is 170BHP, however, being an ex-forum members car, i do have photographic evidence of it running at 204BHP due to a re-map but can't comform that it is still running this modifcation......booooooo:p

my to do list is as follows.... a front strut brace, a K&N cone filter, removal of the 2nd cat and replace with a new system, and sort the tunes out with a new head unit and base bin in the boot. There are no external "mods" in the pipe line

Could you guys share the info on cruise control please. I'm driving to Germany in a few weeks so cruise ccontrol would be very useful.

Erm not quite sure what info you mean, over and above what's in the Guides section. I used an Alfa 147 stalk as it's cheaper than the FIAT jobbie. Your Schumi will be pre-wired, so it's just a case of removing the lower steering wheel cowl, plug in and secure the new stalk (two screws), then cut a slot in the cowl to accommodate the stalk.

yep, just what peril says, mines an alfa 147 one, just undo the cowel around the collum, and you'll see the white connector dangeling around on the left. the cruse stick will line up with two holes on the collum, and then just plug in! :) and "roberts your fathers brother" u have cruse! (y)

Incidentally, on closer exmination of your pics, it looks like you're only redirecting half the vapours. Did you know there are two emissions outlets from the cam cover to the inlet side? The one you have covered is upstream of the throttle, the other is downstream.

Look at the hose betwen the throttle valve and the inlet manifiold and you'll see it. It's outlet No 2 in this diagram:

mmmmm i had no idea that was there? does that go straight into the manifold then?

UPDATE!!! my omp strut brace has finally arrived!! whoooooo - hooooo :) :) :) :) but as predicted, after offering it up to the suspention tops, it wont clear the ECU ( i think ) electrical plug booooooooo....:(..... but luckily i thought of that so and have already got a solution, and another stroke of luck is that the previous owner had the same omp strut brace fitted so the holes all line up nicely..... except for one as one of the bolts snapped off when he removed it? doh!!:bang: so i'll have to come up with a solution for that too?

strutbrace fitted without too much hastle, the old holes that shooweenick had drilled lined up all ok bar one which was out slightly so a round file on the brace hole sorted that out - i also did'nt bother using the self tappers that came with it, so i ran a tap down the holes and fitted nice stainless steel allen bolts instead :).

also, i had to move the thing with the big plugs on down about a inch an a half because the adjustment nut on the brace was fowling the wires. this was done quite easily by removing the 4 studs that hold it in place and drilling/tapping new holes further down. a job well done i think, and a mug of coffee was quickly orderd as a reward (y)

oh, nearly forgot, as mentioned in another thread, i put some photos of the manifold after i wrapped it.

Hey Phil

What number is your GP bud? I noticed yours is not up in the schumey thread

Don't actually know, because when I first viewed the car at the dealership the dash plate was missing. But when I went to pick the car up, I found the salesman had fixed another plate on the dash (which he'd taken off a different Schumi!).

Strange but true...

cheers mate, that aint foil though? its wovern titainiun!........ (fancy foil! lol)

whats the benafit of wraping the manifold pipes?

well, legend has it that if you wrap your manifold up in this stuff, it prevents something called "scaverging", basically, it retains the heat in the manifold and somehow aids gasflow and therefore bhp??? probably aload of old guff, however the only reason i fitted is that for some reason my car never came with a heat shield so when i painted my engine cover it was getting so hot that i could'nt even touch it and was a bit worried it might start to peel? now with this stuff on, it's just very warm so for 20 quid, its worked well for what i needed it for(y)

If you would like to find out and with permission, I can probably establish what limited edition number you GP is Phil :)

You have any pictures of the painted engine cover, Was thinking of giving it a bash myself when I manage to get hold of a spare battery cover :D. ?

Hi
I've been thinking about getting a air filter upgrade kit for a while, could you tell me what - if any improvements you noticed?
Your doing a top job, love the seats!
