Poor Dennis !!!

He was rescued from a friend's house who got halfway through an engine swap then lost interest.

After being sat outside and not moving for 12 months we managed to get him onto the trailer. After removing 2 inches of water from the floors inside, he dried out after about 3 weeks !!!

He's now sat in a nice warm garage waiting for the engine fitting to be completed then hopefully we can get him running. He also needs new floors and probably quite a few other bits too.

what the f**k is that, only joking although if i ever had a mini it would just be to make it look good kitted etc personally the price they go for these days is a joke as you get nothing but a shed covered in filler with uncomfortable interior, pissed on whenever it rains and dont even start me on reliability.

each to their own as they say although as a matter of interest how much did you pay?

Each to their own indeed. Obviously you've not had much experience of reliable ones. I've had quite a few VERY reliable ones and until last year minis were my only cars. The later interiors are just as comfortable as any car seat I've sat in. Pissed on whenever it rains ?? Erm new seals ???!! Only time I've had trouble with rain coming in was in torrential rain where water came through a hole in the floor. I've never got wet anywhere else from one.

You can pick up a decent solid one for not very much. Don't forget they're not made any longer so prices are going to go up. They are classic cars. Granted, some of the rarer models do sometimes go for silly money. Estates have gone up in price recently as they weren't on the production line as long as the saloons so they are a lot rarer.

Cost me nothing so far, apart from the price of a few bits for the engine.

I'd take a mini over a Cinq any day...
