Re: my new bravoooo

Hard to say really, its a style that you should want yourself maytey (Y), although don't forget about the marea poly lights! They look good on any bravo!

Lower profile on the 16's should hopefully sort you out! the alloy size is nice! just those big tyres haha.

When people make improvements to their car, its best not to go completely crazy with it, but bring out the characterists of the bravo even more!, attention to detail is often a winner!

Good luck man!
Migs.

Re: my new bravoooo

haha thanks buddy , getting new tyres on the 10th hopefully! The Marea polys are on my list! Amongst the Alfa Interior.

I want to make my bravo look nice, but smart at the same time, no crazy spoilers or bling bling exhaust for me

Re: my new bravoooo

Confusion time!!

Might sound really silly, but will changing the head give it any more power?
the 1.4 12v aint too good, Was thinking a 1.6 head would be better?

And also, please tell me its easy to do

Re: my new bravoooo

I found my 1.4 really nippy from standing and upto 65mph, It definatly wasnt slow maybe yours needs a good service? I seriously doubt the 1.6 head will fit on the 1.4 block, The first point I can see from looking at headgasket photos, the oil feeds are in different places.

Fitting the entire Mk1 1.6 engine into a Mk1 1.4 shell has been done by shaunco, he also had to change some petrol tank related parts and the gear leaver.

There are so many high spec 1.6's going around for less than 1000, simply buying one seems the most logical thing todo. You can get ones with extras like fog lights, electric and colour coded mirrors, heated seats, spoiler, aircon, in the trofeo leather steering wheel, passenger and side airbags 1.4 doesnt normaly have ABS either.

Re: my new bravoooo

buy Mine if you want a 1.6 haha, best thing to do..give it a nice service and should run smooth then they did stop the 1.4's in 98, and then fiat bought the 1.2 to replace it, if you want economy and abit of nippyness, id say the 1.2 , but if your thinking of somehow doing an engine conversion, your best bet is to just buy another bravo...they go for pennies(not literatly) :P

Re: my new bravoooo

The 1.2 can be swapped for a 1.4 16v and a suitable remap and cams will see it at 110bhp easily

Power and economy dont realy mix, unless you can find a TD100 or JTD105

1.4 to 1.6 is the most logical engine swap though

Re: my new bravoooo

Thinking of getting a 1.6 Bravo after my insurance ends , The 1.4 is quite good, Kept up with my mums merc the other day, Theres so much i want to do to my car, If anyones selling anything, let me know, m20b25, Still got those CC'd mirrors? And has anyone got a Bodykit? or wheels haha, i can go on and on.

I think i might avoid a replacement engine, Mines doing well, plus its only on 58k so im onto a winner.

But alloys are still my priority at the moment

I did my first 1000 Miles in her Ran out of fuel 9 TIMES! haha

My Friend from work got me a little present from poundland

A Bad Boy Exhaust Pipe

The Front O/S Caliper needed replacing, Went stiff and didnt work.

And i also cut this off the rear seat so i could get my Bmx in (it annoyed me)
My Dad thinks it'll fail the M.O.T but im not sure

And i also put the badges back on for some bizarre reason

And yet the steels are still on the car!
Slowly getting there

Re: my new bravoooo

Update time!
Sold my alloys and picked up a new set of a mate. Makes the car look so much nicer, i think they suit very well.

I also sorted out my side repeaters, i hated the orange, so bye bye

Tried to spray the front mesh, but didnt bother with masking tape, so that failed I think a new one would be nice

Soon i shall sort this out

Re: my new bravoooo

Very nice wheels!

Those rubber handles are rubbish, Marea E/HLX handles are a straight swap 147 handles are a bit of work...

I'll have a dig about for those mirror cups when I get a chance

I also have white and silver mirror cups if youre interested in other colours...

Re: my new bravoooo

You must have the Bravo S Its Just a 27 filter from halfords. Its not too bad, sounds better, An exhaust will make it sound so much better though, and i have felt a slight increase in power
