I had a bit of time while taking photos of Lotus 340R to take some of the Fiat.
I have only edited one and the others are just snapshots.

wow! isn't that the shiniest thing ever.. not even a dot of imperfection on the paintwork. you use it as a furniture in your house I guess.

It was cleaned about a week before it went into the studio.
I keep it in the garage every night. I do drive it most days, yesterday it went 150 miles but now needs a clean again.
I only clean it every 2 weeks.

The studio lights make it look cleaner than it is.

Sometimes just seeing a photo of a dirty car makes it look clean. I cleaned and waxed the 500 a couple of weeks ago and after it had been jetwashed it looked really clean from anything more than a couple of metres away, once it had been clayed and waxed and it probably didn't look much cleaner in photos :p

For me, the biggest downside of BNW is that even when it is really clean it does not look as shiny as a "coloured" car.

I have recently started actually using my garage as a garage rather than a massive cupboard and it makes suchj a differnece keeping the 500 clean. Now I just have to make my wife walk when it's raining.

Not wanting to go off topic (sorry RUI!) but I agree with you on both counts.

Whilst BNW tends to look clean it doesn't necessarily look very shiny because reflected light kind of gets hidden.

the car park at the wifes work is under trees which constantly seem to be dropping sap :bang: Plus there's the odd seagull to contend with.

Same here, loads of trees at wifes work and problem with sap - no seagulls though. how does one git rid of sap from paintwork - WD40 ??

Here are a couple more.

Rui that is lovely and shinier than a shiny thing. And you can certainly tell that you are a proper photographer too!

Out of interest, assuming that your real name is not Mr Rui, what is the significance of "RUI" on your plate?

Personally I think you have too many decals in different colours and styles (like you are wearing checked trousers, a spotted shirt and stipey blazer), but it does have the advantage of highlighting the shininess, which is mighty impressive given the regular abuse that you appear to give your car.

Abarth is designed for a bit more abuse that your standard 500 - its hard to resist the temptation of coming on boost. Having a 3rd year warranty helps. I kinda like the strips. You either go stealth or let it all hang out.

The place that I fear most is the carparks and there's not too many of them in that part of the country !

Rui - I'm a photographer and used to do a bit of car photography in the pre digital days, so we had to use all sorts of tricks. Load the car with sandbags, thin black tape on the body to stop highlights and edges disappearing into the background, lots of dulling spray, roll the tyres over talcum powder to highlight the tread. All done on a 5x4 camera with single sheet film, endless test polaroids.
All much easier now

You are gifted. You have taken beautiful pictures of your bydiesel 500. It would look perfect in a high end property where everything was on the one level so you can sit and look at and admire it.

Thanks for the kind words.
