Driving down the a19 this afternoon and the car starts the shake. Looses a lot of power. Got home turned the engine off. Turned it over again and My car now sounds like a tractor and is dying to stall. the engine is juddering all over the bay and feels like i am pulling off in 4th. foot to the floor in 4th i get about 25mph. not good.

Y reg (2001) mk2 punto 1.2 8v

cheers mate. enging problems as stated above. feel like crying.

Could be:
Coil packs
Leads
Spark Plugs
Head Gasket

Mine did similar, ended up being a headgasket cus the last garage that did it did a bodge job...

Could be other things though but my list is the extent of my knowlege on this problem.

New ht leads, spark plugs, both coil packs.

Oh so thats how my car will sound once i got my induction kit i have a 4-2-1 decat straight through to a 4" sportex back box ill be getting a ford focus induction kit tuesday or wesday so looking forward for it to be sounding like that! haha nice car btw man :slayer:

So been in the garage. the head gasket has gone. burnt out through the middle of cylinder 2 and 3 holes. hense the low compression anyways. heads been sent off to get skimmed, new gaskets and bolts ordered. Should be back on the road on sunday hopefully Thanks for all the help guys, yous have helped a lot!

get 16's and low profiles, buying 15 inchers for my punto without been able to get lowerd 40mm on insurance was biggest mistake i made, looks good to boy racers but **** to fiat lovers
