Now i've had my Bravo for well over a year now, but I've been out of the country working for 7 months and havent had any time to work on it.

Now i'm back to the UK for good it's time to get cracking.

Before I left I had:

15" Aray multispokes
50mm Spax springs
Powerflow cat-back system
Home-made induction kit with breather.
Various other small mods.

Since I've been back I've removed my cat back and put the standard exhaust back on, minus the centre box, as after starting up I realised how ridiculously loud it was.

Just off out to wash Jonny then I'll be back in with some photos.

Here's a few photos as it is now:

To answer your question pete its a 1.6 16v.

Little update, got a new backbox on and it's marmite. I personally love it but i know a few of you will hate it! I'll pop a picture up later as today I'm doing some tidy up/spray work to the engine and i'll pop them up too.

Thanks mate, mirror base plates aren't looking too good cus of crap colour match so gonna go back to black until I can get a decent match next week I think

Didnt get to spray my base plates today as I had to work with my dad but that will be done tomorrow. Got new HT leads today as one has been playing up and changed my oil last night. Running very smooth right now.

After having a bit of trouble with my exhaust and bumper, being my exhaust melted my bumper quite badly, i managed to pick up a bumper in amazing condition from a scrap yard and i've seated my exhaust lower. This is how it looks now:

and here is my car after claying, washing, polishing and waxing this morning. photo quality does it no justice at all though:

Well it's almost time for me to go away working again for 6 months. But all is not lost, my cousin is taking over the car for the time i'm away and ive got a huge list for him to do while i'm away. Ill be sending as much money back as i can in aid to fund this:

New Injectors
Roof damage filled and sprayed
Boot smoothed and sprayed
Coilovers
Clear side repeaters
Poly Lights
BMC Induction
Complete set of samco hoses in blue
Mirrors and handles colour coded (already purchased)
Door speakers and components for dash
Leather Interior
New head unit (mine's an old school CD player)
Custom cat-back system
4-2-1 manifold
piper cams
HID kit
Bonnet Lifters

Quite a list!

Just been around a few garages as i fear my head gasket is on its way out and also i need new injectors. Might as well get both done at the same time, so been asking around and they said i'm looking at around £600-800!

Well my car only cost me £700 so I'm not going to go there.

Next option for me is to source a new engine for spares or completely!

If i go for a complete new engine I've got:

1.6 16v again to tune while off car and drop straight in.
2.0 20v NASP to drop straight in
or
2.0 20vt to either drop in or tune and drop in.

The most cost effective would be the 1.6 however I am working away for the next 6 months so i can easily buy the 20vt and purchase parts/get work done while i am away and then when i get back work on it and drop it in then.

What do you guys reckon?

Well guys, MOT today to find out what needs doing before I go away, and I'm afraid by the time I get home it looks like it's going to be going :(
once all debts have been paid off (which should only take a few weeks) i will be saving for a renault clio 182, and i cant afford to keep this and get the clio aswell. i'd love to keep it, but watch this space as she may well be up for sale on here once fixed.
