500 TwinAir Sport

Introduction

Wasn't sure whether to add my new car to the Members Motors section as it looks identical to my old 500 Diesel, the only differences, apart from the engine are Leather and Interscope. Still, as I've taken some photos it would be rude not to share, lol. (y)

Collection day 08/01/2011 (sorry for quality but wife took it with phone)

Just washed.

Leather, aaah! Don't you just love the smell.

Bad design? Can you see the marks left in the rear seat facings by the seat belt fixings after they have been lowered?

Nothing really to say but as maxi is always showing off his red leather seats I thought I would as well,

Another just washed picture, pity I forgot to dry the wheels before taking the picture.

Another, just because I can, photos.

As you can see, tales of the poor fuel consumption are true. Just need to wait until the engine has a couple of thousand miles under it's belt to see if there are any realistic improvements.

BLUE&ME TomTom fitted to dashboard dock.

I saw this and had to pop the bonnet to check, lol.

Phew! No Pandas living in here,

Even better rear end than J Lo or Kylie.

Ready for the weekly shopping trip.
Like the pics, especially keen on the interior (leather, climate control & TomTom).

Is it just me though, or do you wonder if there's any point in sticking a sticker on a car if it's the wrong one?! :bang:

Gets even worse if you fold the seats down and then put something heavy on the back seats sadly!

Tony, also I notice you've got Premium Contact 2's on. What did the MJ have on it and which do you feel is quieter?

My Bridgestone's are lasting well but it's always interesting to see what people think of other tyres :)

I had the Bridgestone Potenzas on the last one, same as you. My first impressin is that these are slightly quieter. They also seemed more able to absorb bumps but I realise now that the new suspension coupled with the lighter weight was probably responsible.

My Bridgestones, at 18000 miles when I sold the car probably would have lasted another 4000 miles but I think that because of the tread design they would have looked like they should be replaced before reaching the 1.6MM limit.

I'm taking the car back to Portsmouth on Saturday to have the microphone replaced so I'll pay a little more attention to how they perform and let you know. (y)

Im loving the car mate, same colour as mine :p i was gonna go for the twin air but it was an extra £30 a month on the payments, i notice your sig says possibly up for sale soon, you bored of it already mate.

Im suprised she's finding it hard to drive, has she tried driving it in city mode, that mode makes the 500 feel like your driving a go kart and it can turn on a six pence in that mode.

I suspect Grimwau means in terms of the engine.
