Re: My EVO Sporting pics

nice (y), which is yours the punto evo? is that an abarth with the stickers on the side, or just a punto evo with abarth stickers?
tuning? what engine you have? i dont know much about punto evo engines, but if they same as grande punto engines i can probably help (y)

Re: My EVO Sporting pics

hi

The car is a evo sporting with the new 1.4 multiair turbo engine.

the same as the abarth although it has only 135 bhp instaed of 165 hence the abarth graphics.

Re: My EVO Sporting pics

Thank you all for your comments.
I just changed it from my Fiat 500 sport(shown in image above). really miss the 500 but needed a larger car and a bit more power. I have worked for Fiat as a salesman for over 15 yrs and grew up with the brand. My best car was a 20v coupe turbo plus which I entered in the cannonball run.(came 8th out of 64 cars). hope to put some pics of car soon.
just ordered full bulb set for EVO as everyone on site has recommended it as a good upgrade.(y)

very nice car, looks great what you done to it. did you get the roof wrapped? i am looking at doing my roof black too

I love the Abarth styling however I'm not sure its right putting Abarth on a standard punto because it quite simply isn't an abarth so why pretend it is? would rather have the same styling but without the Abarth name along the side. It's kinda like the clever Volkswagen advert Its like a golf but it simply isn't a golf.

You can achieve Abarth power levels quite easily. My mate has the same car as you and he has fitted the following and it is as fast now as my APE:

- Induction Kit
- TMC motorsport tuning box
- Standard Abarth Punto Evo Exhaust

Sounds like mine now and goes like it too. That is until I get my induction kit and TMC box and then I'll have 190+ bhp

The only major differences you will not be able to replicate is the throttle response, 6 speed gear box and steering. The Abarth has a sport mode which sharpens the throttle considerably and also makes the steering a bit heavier and more direct.

Nice car though, looking forward to seeing how it come out. I personally don't like the Abarth stripes as its not an Abarth but then again I don't like them on the Abarths either. If your after some new alloys, I have my old scorpion alloys for sale in the classifieds section ;)
