Sorry JB missed your msg, you know me.....I don't want to risk anything.

Yeah that's the major place Lagunas get rust, mine has none but a little bit right at the bottom of the rear nearside door, nothing anywhere else, it has been well looked after and always on solid ground etc. There's a N reg silver one at uni with that exact problem.

The colour is surprisingly nice when washed though looks really horrid when dirty, just looks really drab and dirty. It matches one of our scenics though lol.

Not been clocked??? I assume you're trying to be sarcastic and implying it has been?

M8 i was just having a laff!! I was implying it is in such good condition for the usual french lumps you see!!

In terms of clocking i was saying that i dont think it has been bcos of its lovely condition etc

But i know how to clock em if you ever need it......... ;)

Beauty.......................................

is in the eye of the beholder!

As long as you like your motor and she's special to you, bugger what anyone else says, you've got to live with her, no one else!

Paul, enjoy your new baby, regardless of comments!

(P.S. If you have a mentor at Uni, make an appointment and ask them to give you some counselling on stress and anger management)

Paul thats a heap of s***

Only kidding, I'll go against what everyone else has said and say I quite like the Laguna.

I used to drive one quite a lot at work, and I found it an extremely comfy and relaxing drive. Being a student, image is much less important than having practicality right? You should see my brothers student car, french and much less respectable ;)

Paul, those pictures are highly offensive.... I hate Renaults, they messed up Nissan, my Fiat dealer is really a Renault dealer in disguise and no Frenchie can build a car. But... its Ok for you!!!! Enjoy it if you can stay awake.....!

Sorry for being mardy guys last night. SUre you can understand me being so happy with my new car and then people being really rude kind of got to me.

Nuova, I assume you have no experience with Renaults then but valid point all the same?!

Cheers James :D

I would agree it's a bland car but that doesn't make it a bad car!

Oh and I don't think a FF sticker would look too good lol, also would mean all my idiotic friends would come on here (they probs already do to check on me, hey guys!) and ruin my fun :(

Sometimes thats a good thing!

Although mine is totally standard, I'm very aware that its hardly discreet, and I've only seen one other like it in Newcastle once, so I need to watch who I upset really don't I (n)

nice paul, whats the 1.8 like? lagunas always seem a little underpowered. Very comfy though.

I upset a dawoooooo yesterday :(

I obviously haven't driven before in Manc and was taking 2 friends out and around. We came to a traffic light junction and I was in the right lane, assuming it to be the only lane to turn right. I turned and drifted accross slightly so that I would come into the left lane of the road I was turning into,[obviously]. However, didn't realise it was a two lane one way road and I had cut up the Daewoo driver and got tooted :( I hate being tooted and I always want to get out for 5 minutes, apologise and explain the reason for my mistake. lol

It drinks petrol :( Give me a diesel any day!

Paul mate, have you calmed down yet??! That was some rant you were having!

My only experience of that phase Laguna was my mates mum had one. It was pretty bullet proof and didn't cause her too much stress - Except for the one time when the entire left had side of the car was sat on the deck due to the suspension collapsing! *eek*

Anyway, it looks like a decent example - A sizable step up from a poxy Uno (no offence, Uno peeps!)

ALex, not a fast engine but the power is there. It wouldn't win any 0-60 sprints though compared to the uno it's a rocketship. What it's best at is sitting at 70-80 on the motorway in 5th and never changing gear for anything, the uno needed 4th for hills or a significant speed drop.

It's only a 8v, not the 16v - I am sure I couldn't afford insurance otherwise!

TBH I am not too bothered about speed, I like the comfort and the equipment it has, the thing I hate about it is its bad economy.

Well yes, 32MPG on paper combined. However, I didn't know what that equated to when actually on the road. I didn't think I was getting much more than that on my sixth form runs in the uno due to stop/start driving constantly and cold starting etc. I was sad to see that infact my uno was much more economical than I thought it was....! I suppose it has taught me about economy now for sure. Oh well, I won't do many miles before I sell it after which I will be getting something a lot more practical like a little diesel (turbo/N/A we will see) but I think I will find it hard to drop down to 50-60 BHP again after this. It's just so easy to drive because of the power.
