Yeah thats good I like that, I was gonna do something like that but I was talking to my dad and were on about raising the floor and cutting a circle out on the MDF and then putting a handle onto it so that if I need to get the spare tyre just lift the handle and pull the MDF circle out good idea you reckon?

Nah it hasn't got a spare wheel in lol, but I heard you can fit one in that black circle thing you've got? But I'm not sure anymore cause I've put 17" alloys on my car lol? What size are your alloys?

why do you want to get into your wheel well then? just take the pump out and cover it up
and 17s do fit with a bit of trimming i think, seen it done
mines are 17's but havent bothered try cos it will just make it even heavier

i need a spare wheel because ive only had the car like 6 months and ive had to change all 4 tyres because nails love my wheels with my 17's it makes a funny noise when i put the clutch down as if its rubbing but im not sure? lol

and i wouldnt have thought it'd be rubbing, post a thread asking for help, alot of people would know on here
i know some people have problems putting 17's on 1.2's but i dont know much about that

Yeah I suppose I may aswell ask, me and my dad were trying to work it out ourselfs but we ent sure the car runs fine tho but you can deffo tell the different between having 15" and 17" alloys

if there lightweight there shouldnt be a problem, if there not then it might be your gearbox struggling to cope with extra weight, but i dont really know much about different gearboxes etc

ive not really looked into it cos mines a 1.4 16v which have 17's standard so i wouldnt have a problem

Cheers for that it helps, I might have to slow down a bit now seen as speeding is meant to hurt the gearbox a lot lol, I might drop down to 16" soon anyway these was just a good buy, you got any plans for your car mate?

If you got some light weight ones there shouldnt be a problem
im just looking for some 17" sporting wheels for mine at the minute, im slowy turning it back to standard cos i think i might have to sell it soon to fund my uni course
wont be selling until i definitely need to tho and then might get a older 1.9tdi polo and have a bit of fun with it

yeah ive got low profile tyres on at the moment i might have to do a bit of searching around to sort this out because i want to keep the alloys on my car, but ive seen them sporting alloys i wouldnt mind getting some of them and getting them painted white my car is on warrenty tho atm so if it mucks up bam take it back to fiat haha. Yeah im going uni but my car is all payed for now so i only have to pay for insurance and petrol. Petrol is killing me tho having to fill up £40 a week because a 1.2 is so **** for mpg.

the only thing is, the fiat ones will probably be heavier than the ones you have and that will increase your mpg aswell
i dont think the wheels would affect the warranty unless maybe you have damaged suspension, but then you can just get some standards and swap before you take it to fiat

It's due a m.o.t soon anyway so before I take it in I'll be swapping the alloys over anyway just to cover myself

they wont fail you for your alloys
i just had my first, past it with illegal plates, tinted reflectors, alloys, lowered etc
most places are very lenient

as if you jammy bitch haha, i wanna get myn lowered but its just the insurance side because i dont want to take the risk and get it lowered and end up crashing cause that is just my luck im thinking about painting behind the number plate white. people normally vinyl it but i wanna be different

they only take an hour to do, if you crashed you could swap them and noone will know, unless you completely write off the car

Yeah my 206 got writ off so I don't want to take the risk lol and yeah that's what I'm on about I'm unsure whether to do it or not my door handles will be White soon tho

yeah that might look pretty nice you should see if you can get a sporting steering wheel, gear stick and handbrake gaiters, the white stitching would go well
