Punto (Mk2/2b) Colinf1's 2000 Mk2 8v.

Sideskirts are firmly in place now, used CT1 construction adhesive, so there not going anywhere!

Wash car yesterday, then removed tar today. Its the first time ive really done it to the car, was covered in it!

Colour match isnt so bad now that it has been cleaned up...

just needs colour coded bumpers now

Gearbox oil changed today, easy enough job to do.

Old oil was very thin so I assume it was definately due a change. Didnt take more than 15mins, most of that time was spent waiting for it to drain.

any reason for that or just a general service?

I had to buy it for a saxo that needed it done, but didnt have a square key to open the drain hole on it, so it went in mine.

Still have 3ltrs of it left, so will do the saxo when I find the right bit to open it.

The oil that came out of it was almost as thin as coke, and of course the can that i was using to catch the drained oil would have to start blowing away as soon as I opened the drain plug (just glad I done it on gravel rather than concrete!)

just burn the saxo. save the world the eye sore. lol

Aluminium water bottle - £1, copper elbows -£1.50, plastic elbows £3, some epoxy resin £1 and a piece of clear tubing which I had lying about.



Needs a bit more work, as I didnt have an extra bit of silicone hose the same size as on induction kit. Jubilee clip is bolted to the body, theres a tapped hole already there. Not to bad for about £7 all in...

Thats such a good idea! Would you mind telling me exactly how you made it/make a guide on it? It would be much appreciated

nice to see the ingenious improvisation... but seems like a lot of effort for something u can pick up for 20-30 quid.

But wheres the fun in that

im not knocking it at all. quite the opposite in fact, i love it... but a lazy git like myself also sees the effort side involved and when catch tanks dont cost all that much, id just buy one. lol

its not too much work in making it, 4 holes (2 if you dont want the guage)

No fun in just buying it lol...the hardest part was mixing the epoxy resin, it stinks!

Biggest mod done to date today, makes the car look much much better....




It was also very nice of the postman to bend the envelope as he put it through the letter box. Each sticker was bent between the F and I...thankfully didnt crease the vinyl and they went on nicely!

Been toying with the idea of a black roof, think it would look better than the green tinged gold thats on the roof now...

this puntos perfect, all its crying out for is colour coded! i really wanna see it colour coded it would be so sxy, and gold bolts on the alloys!

Gold bolts on alloys? Dont think that would suit.....

Colour coded, maybe...dont a quick photoshop, found 2 bumpers at a very good price, near enough to me...debating on wheter to get them,,,,,

i actually like it without,imo the black and gold go well together

I like it colour coded more personaly, but always have. looks good either way tho.

i love your car none colour coded, if you were to do something i would do it glossy black, it would keep the clean look but make it look less like a plastic bumper

Not to keen on it anymore tho,,,,and not pushed on getting the gold bumpers either...

Really want a 147 interior in that tan leather, but can find anything over here and postage costs from UK to here would be thru the roof...
