Punto (Mk2/2b) Mk2 Punto ELX.

Introduction

Thought I'd show you all my baby, all criticisms welcome, but please be nice if you can, its a work in progress and is also my 1st car.

Standard front, but will be fitting eyebrows when the weather clears up

De-badged/ removed bump strips

New HU & painted instrument surround

Painted center console

Lockwood door sills

So... what do you all think?
how much rubbing do you get i get a wee bit not loads with my 195's but the offset is the same as standard so all the extra rubber is inside think when i get tyres again gonna get 185's light stretch and reduce rubbing.

well, the dirt on the tyre from the lining was about 1-2 inches in from the edge of the tyre maybe. just rubs on the outside of the tyre against the rear side of the lining... but there was no one in the car either so dont know if having more weight in the car will make any difference to how much rubbing there is.

Well little update, finally got my coupe alloys fitted. bit of rubbing on full lock but looking at ways to stop that, either by lower profile tyres or doing something with the arch lining. any ideas or links to cheap tyres would be good. tyres fitted at the mo are 205/50/16s.

so what ya think?
looks great if only it were black lol looks mint man well done

all in good time. alloys really need a refurb, got some kurbing and paint is flaking a bit on some... but no point doing anything until winter is over. not sure what id do with the weights on them when it comes to refurb either. may do the cheap/lazy option and paint over them, or may get tyres/weights off and get em rebalanced once im done. will see how time and money is looking when its time.

got a new set of 195/45/16's fitted and there is no rubbing at all now, even with a boot full of my steel wheels and the spare tyres that came off the alloys. ill get some better pics when i get a chance. just have to hold off on some work at the garage this week. tyres are up for sale in wheels classifieds btw if anyone is interested.

as promised, got some more pics up with my new alloys.

and yes, i know, she needs a good old clean... may brave the cold tomorra and do it then. warm water may make it bearable. lol

just waiting for my center caps to come... hoping they fit, but seems that fiat caps are all the same size so will see in a few days. also got some funky dust caps on order too. :D

waiting to find time to finish spraying up and fit my spoiler too. if only it wasnt so damn cold outside id have it done by now but trying to find time in the house alone to avoid getting moaned at for spraying indoors. lol

well, 48 hrs after i get the lambda sensor changed, the eml has annoyingly reappeared. will get out the laptop tomorra to find out why... but if it turns out to be the sensor again... brown stuff will most certainly be hitting the fan for the garage.:bang:

got my alloy center caps... just waiting for some funky dust caps to be delivered... pics will be up when i get em.
also hoping to fit my spoiler tomorrow.:D
as for the lambda issues, garage hasnt been much help at all. even told em what fault code was found and they couldnt even find the code in there list :bang: they then said it could be a fuse or relay:confused::confused::confused:
at this rate i will be taking the car to a fiat dealer to have the codes read properly to fault find... goodbye money:mad:
will also be fitting some decals to the rear window once i get some money.
