Bravo (Classic) 1.6 sx from holland

Introduction

A short introduction of my bravo:

Bought it with a broken cam belt, which resulted in 8 destroyed valves. I only just turned 18 then so it was no problem, enough time to fix this problem.
After that was fixed i started to make it look right, first a general wash and polish:

after that I got to work on the oxidated wheels, I wanted something special so they were painted in red and black. Also i found an original Eibach lowering kit on the attic so that was also thrown on the bravo (meanwhile I got my license)

A lot of other little mods were done like painting the door mirrors and placing coupé badges on the door plates:

After a year or so i got bored with my old wheels so i bought a nearly perfect set of 15" deltaHF wheels. only problem was that they were powdercoated while i like the original polished look, so on came the sander and the polished and they were resorted in (almost) their original glory. It's is a lot of work (I wont do this twice ) so at the moment only 3 are completed and 2 are mounted on the car. To support the look of the wheels I bought a 2nd hand kw variant 1 kit.

Between the sanding and polishing i also found time to mount a complete (even the aluminum support behind the dash and passenger airbag) interior of a 98' GT.

I probably forgot something I've done but these are the main modifications I've done to the car.

hmm looks very clean. i like the delta wheels, gives a nice smooth look. also on the coupe badges i was looking into getting some for mine. because my colour is the lighter one, which looks closer to the portofino coupe, they never did the 16v :(, you might want to get some HGT leather for it.

Thanks(y)

@ bravo16vspoonz: maybe, but the I only mounted this interior because it was 100% free, otherwise I would still have my purple fabric with grey plastic sx interior.

I'll mount the other (although unfinished) Delta wheels on the back this weekend since I'm going to do some laps on Zandvoort next sunday (Italia a zandvoort, biggest italian car event in the Netherlands). I now have 205/50 tires on the original 6J wheels and that's not ideal, I already had the back stepping out a couple of times while turning of the highway (big 90 degree bend i normally take at 100km/h)

I've no exact data but I guess around 3:05-3:10, my brother was filming everything form the dunes and from that I estimated my lap times. there were a lot of cars on the track (30+) and almost all without any circuit experience (including myself). I was also one of the slower cars on the track, 2 360 modenas, 1 murcielago, a couple of AR 155 evo's, delta HF's and a bunch of new AR guilletta's that were used as pace cars.

Well, with only 1300 world wide they are quite rare, but at events in Holland there are always at least 2 of them. The most I've ever seen on 1 event is 5, 3 SZ and 2 RZ (with only 300 build even rarer).
There were 3 458 in total, 2 red and 1 white. But with 100+ ferraris within a half a mile radius i didn't care much for them .
I was more thrilled seeing a Autobianchi Primula for the first time in my life and an Otto Vu in direct sun light.

Again a small update
fitted the winter wheels+tyres and to make it a bit "special" I sprayed one of them punto mk1 gold met. :D

I also installed a pilot 5000k xenon set. :slayer:

and the final upgrade is an original cd player (Grundig 182H4). Searched ages for one for a reasonable price and finally found one (for free  ).

The red Bravo needed a lot of work and since the overall state wasn't all that good I decided to buy another car.

So here is my '99 HGT :p

Already done some standard maintenance work (brakes, exhaust, belts (generator, airco, steering))

Only problem now is that there is whine from the timing belt or balancing shaft and there is a hydraulic tappet that isn't doing what it should, so probably next week I'm going to pull the engine out and try to sort these points out. Updates will follow. ;)

im rather jealous haha ;) buut is this the V.I.S Version ? if so, good luck with the silly quirks it may have.
looks very nice in that colour too, what sort of options does it have on it, like white dials, leather ?

it seems white dials are rare to find in 155 hgts in the uk :(

Thanks (y)

It's indeed an facelift 155 20v version with the VIS manifold. And it's an stock HGT for the Netherlands. So that means: 4 airbags, climate control, (indeed) white dials, ABS and all the other nonsense.

Also probably somebody fitted an original HGT sport kit suspension. Judging by the ride heigt, stifness and the fact that it has original springs and dampers.
