well i bought this punto GT just over 1 year ago and since then its been abit of a nightmare.

but now its all good and to me she is looking better than ever and im considering a 2ltr 16v turbo conversion as my mate has just done his MK1 GT.

these pictures dont show the sheer amount of car park dents it had when i first bought it.











since i bought it i repaired/replaced

replaced this with a centre exit twin DTM straight through 2 1/2" stainless system.


replaced the turbo 3times and 4th time round i decided to change the engine and replaced the turbo with a refurbed one from the turbo centre.





replaced drive shafts




decided it was time for the dent to go so out with the panel beating tools out they came one by one.
prepped for paint

then it was the bottom halfs turn.













now she looks like this:







engine bay also had a make over:



pipes upgraded to 57mm all round.

my future plans are to do the bump strips matt black on front and rear bumpers and also put the bump strips back up the sides.

looks good mate, i would have added a bit of black to the bumpers to tie it in with the roof and wing mirrors, but like you say bump strips black may do it.

looks way better in real, and kick his arse and get him to flog ya the 16vt or even better do a 20vt lol go on ya know ya want to
