i was going to leave it standard, but now im thinking orange calipers, possibly copy your chequered mirror idea or do something different.. still using orange vinyl, where did you get yours from?

but with orange squares on the black mirror.... i would like to try it but with thinner squares... but that would be too hard to cut! Would need one of those 'stikka' machines or something similar

ohh thats a cool idea, you need like a template really then cut around the vinyl with a craft knife or whatever.

yehh, would still be really tricky though
easiest way would be to have a template like you say, but place it on the orange vinyl and spray around it black.... but i doubt the paint would stick!

Hmm i guess so, btw do if got afew smd led laying about you know of a way of testing them without a multimeter?yehh, would still be really tricky though

hmm, without a multimeter?
generally, LED's only break if they are physically damaged or too much current is passed through them
as far as testing them, if i remember correctly, they use aproximatly 3v, if you have a 3v power supply, use that with a 1 ohm resistor in series
alternatively, you could use a 12v supply with a resistor of about 470 ohms
be sure to get the + and - the right way

Well i just wondered because i remember burning afew out from when i did my mk2 but i cant remember which ones & in answer to your second question im gunna change the center console one slowly but surely lol one led that im gunna do first is the lock light which im gunna change to blue so it looks like a clifford alarm when it flashes when the car is locked :devil:hmm, without a multimeter?

yeah I stupid ohh well anyway there blue and i only wanna do the lock light & asr light(aka the fun switch) blue.
hahaha love it. However that switch is left well alone unles I know the road like the back of my hand . It's just not worth it, especially when the car tries to step put of line with it on... every now and then

Cheers yehh i did, used a ford orange spray can with red primer (basically the closest orange match the local motor factors had)
Pretty pleased with it myself, although its not perfect!
