If anyone wants the bushes I took out your welcome to them if you pay postage

Unfortunately the rear drum brake pipe nuts are rounded off

Any advice on freeing these off?

Cheers
Jeff

if you are lucky, take the whole cylinder off the back plates keep spraying plus gas and wire brush it. And turn the whole cylinder.

But i would just replace that brake lines, assuming you can undo the other end.

So far I wouldn't say im lucky haha but I will try this at the weekend and also get some new lines made fronts need doing anyway so will do all in one go!

If tank is coming off, there is a joint for the pipes in the middle of the car that goes all the way. I would replace it from there, trying to undo 10 years old union is a total nightmare!!!

make it fairly straightforward on even 24 year olds.

But if you're feeling flush, replace the lot with aeroquip.

Re: Seicento 1.2 16v with big plans!!

depending on how rounded they are, don't look too bad atm, if spanner is just slipping round one option is to cut the pipe and use a decent 6sided socket. Means replacing pipe obviously.

If i didn't want to cut the pipe and its rounded i would go for my mole grips to hold it and do what Ming said, turn the entire cylinder.

Re: Seicento 1.2 16v with big plans!!

Fuel tank came off today to make access to the brake pipes easier as suggested never taken a fuel tank off before so new experience!

Only make one cock up which is pictured above! Snapped off one of these anyone know if they come with new tank or if I have to buy separate?

I also snapped mine, you don't need it, it's for the cannister !!

Of course with the 16v you are not running a cannister anyway.

Re: Seicento 1.2 16v with big plans!!

I should have asked what it was first! Haha still learning that my excuse! So hopefully tomorrow I'll get the lines off and have some new ones made up, out of interest can you paint copper lines I know the usual route is they get wax oiled but if I painted them would that be enough protection?
