Al rite folks, whats the criac?

Been a while since a have been on here, bought a supersprint manifold and abarth pedals of phill_11 a couple weeks back. Just need to get around to fitting them, finishing uni at the minute and dont have the time. However done a few things in the last months,

31000 miles update:

New clutch
New gear box oil
Oil changed 10/50w oil
Modified pipercross viper induction kit to include cam carrier breather.
De-vinyled bpillar
Debaged boot+ deleted rubstrips
Purchased "Fiat Punto Mk2 99-03 ICC Front Spoiler - PUR"
Purchased Jetex 200cell sports catalyst (stainless steel)
Lamba boss reparir tube and two clamps
Lamba boss and plug
Quikshift Chequer Plate Footwells Punto Mk2
Magnecor KV85 Ignition Leads for Fiat Punto Mk2 Sporting

Been a while since i been on here, just thought i would post my progress so far. Got my manifold and jetex 200 sports cat fitted. Painted my calipers and changed my brake pads:

95.6 bhp at the min, going to get it ported and polished before i get a remap.

looking gd after the trip to the body shop, nice and shinny, how does the car drive with 95 italian horses over the standard 80??

nice one, thats what im after (100+bhp) how much has it cost you engine wise to get to 100 if you dont mind me asking?? if you prefere not to say ya can PM me if thats better
 
it doesnt take much to get over 100bhp on a 16v - good induction kit, backbox and remap will do it.

Dude - car looks good, nice exhaust system! you can see that the header has shifted the power up the rev range as well compared to standard. It will be nice with a remap.

that is more than enough, any more duration than that and its just niot worth having for road use, it would be soooo slow untill it came on cam at about 4k revs.
would be untouchable after that, but still. youre not gonna drive round everywhere above 4k, surely.

274 duration would be fast, but useable
 
looks good mate...wouldnt do more than the map mate, you will end up spending bundles and wont go much over 105bhp mate im running 103bhp with map and catback but will hopefully have a custom header going on soon...but its all about the torque lol(y)
 
Currently with nos i am only running 135.4lbf/ft 3383rpm and 128.8hp/6539. There is a drop in the middle of the rev range with i belevie to be the remaps doing, due to the way it was set up, so i am getting the remap taken off and the ecu put back to the way it was at. Which was 95.1hp/5638rpm and 98.0lbf/4467rpm.

I think the remap is causeing the peak power to be too high in the rev range for my liking.
 
There was a crack in my first piston, which strangely was a type a and the rest where type c, regardless the nos basiclly blew z chip of zed piston and ****ed **** up a bit. So got the engine ported and polished while waiting on new piston,values and other stuff.
