I finally managed to get my arse in gear and make a members motors thread, a couple of people have asked me to make one, so here it is!

Car: Fiat Seicento Sporting Abarth

Engine: 1108cc SPI

Audio:

Kenwood KDC-W4544U Headunit
Alpine SXE-69C2 6x9s on the Parcel Shelf
Unbranded 650w RMS 10" Sub

Abarth Badges
Red and Black leather Gearstick / Handbrake gaitors

Exterior:

Abarth Badges - front and rear

She has had other bits and bobs done to her aswell, like new headlights, etc...

the day i bought her:

a little bit of paint missing on the rear bumper, due to wrong primer:

i then began with the modding. little bits first, like the gear gaitors:

red seatbelts and 6x9s:

abarth badges on doorcards (they were a bit plain, wanted to cheer them up a bit (y) :

also put one under the rev counter:

also put fiat abarth badges on the back and front (abarth overload, i know!) :

i then started on the engine mods, firstly with the Janspeed exhaust:

and then the rocker cover and GSR Induction Kit:

And thats the story so far!

Sorry about poor picture quality in some of them, rubbish camera phone!

Future Mods:

40mm Lowering springs
Maybe 13x7 Minilites

Thanks for reading!
Re: Bella the Seicento

I managed to find my notes on height. I measured from a flat surface to arch
before after
frt dri 550 530 = 20mm drop
frt pas 545 530 = 15mm drop
rear dri 620 570 = 50mm drop
rear pas 600 570 = 30mm drop

Bear in mind that these were shagged front lowered springs and unknown origin rear springs

Re: Bella the Seicento

well looks like the scrappy gave you one sx and one sporting rear spring. and you already had a lowering kit on the front.

ive never seen a 30mm lowering kit. so im assuming it was atleast a 40mm lowering kit so 60ish mm drop. lol. think i got readings of about the 60mm drop front and 35-40mm rear but my old springs sat lower than they should as they were dead.

Re: Bella the Seicento

nothing has actually gone on the car as of yet :)

suspension kit still has not come through D:

got my wheels sanded down, bought the paint, and then it started raining.
and hasnt stopped in 3 days :(

bought the tricker TB off mo, thats waiting to go on, just need some instant gasket.

also, just bought a momo wheel off ebay, with a ferrari hornpush. will order a boss kit next week, and that will be fitted ASAP :)

Re: Bella the Seicento

Oh, also forgot to mention, im in the process of refurbing the uno wheels in satin black all over, as a temporary thing, and then aftyert ive paid next years insurance in february, i will be getting them properly refurbed and powdercoated etc at lepsons.

also had a few little problems over the weekend.
went to lakeside saturday night to get my new throttle body off mo.
stayed till about 2am, and then as i got in the car to drive off, the clutch didnt go fully down. had a look round, took about 20 mins but in the end we found that the triangular clutch pivot in the passenger footwell had got brittle and snapped.
drove home from lakeside (only a 30 min drive) with no clutch. (rev-matching is easier than i thought)

the next day, we went to the scrappy, and after an hour struggle, the new one was on.
only real impact is that the biting point is now slightly higher :p

Re: Bella the Seicento

just ajust the clutch down to put the bite back. easy to do, screw on the end of the clutch arm.

and rev-matching is pretty easy going up but alot harder changing down. lol.

why is your suspension taking so long? everyone else had theirs in a matter of days.

Re: Bella the Seicento

considering re-doing the clutch.

will probably adjust the bite back down, just because :)

and yeah, geasket paper is probably a better idea. will be popping down to SC tomorrow, in my lunchbreak to buy some, methinks.

and ask, and ye shall recieve.

Re: Bella the Seicento

just got off the phone with venom motorsport, its been an absaloute mission.

first of all, venom had none in stock, so they were on order from fk for a week.
fk has none in stock so had to make some more.
shipping got delayed.
finally got them in today, and the parts number on the box does not match the part number ordered.
he has gone to check they are the right ones, and is going to get back to me in a second.
:(

also got some camber bolts on order (my friend ordered me some for my birthday, the 8th of october) and they have not come through yet either.

so far, my experience with venom motorsport has not been fantastic.

Re: Bella the Seicento

i had MASSIVE problems with venom when ordering the powerflex bush bit.

1. sent me a strutt brace for a mk1 gold.
2. sent my bush's to another person.
3. had to re-order.
4. (not there fault) powerflex burned down.
5. two months later problem sorted and postage refunded.

BUT then again..

suspension kit delivered within 5 working days. camber bolts within 4 days and a few other bits and bats that took less than a week.

seems that when they rely on ordering in its not a good service. but tbh id shop there again just due to the products prices.

Re: Bella the Seicento

by camber bolts I'm guessing you mean the bottom bolt on the suspension strut? that can be moved on or out for camber..

if so. link me please haha :') Mine are cut down masterpeices, could do with some new ones :p

and Alfy that wheel looks ace!

Re: Bella the Seicento

by camber bolts i mean the top bolt on the suspension (not the struts the top of the two at the hub) that either levers the hub in or out from the top altering the geometry.

the bottom is attached to the wishbone by the ball joint so the top is where it needs to move :p)

and look on venom motorsport they do them for many cars. mine had to come from a clio :)

Re: Bella the Seicento

I have ordered camber bolts from them twice now and I alway got them within 3 days .....

Remember with camber bolts, take them to the tracking place that could adjust camber and sk them to put it on then have it adjusted.

Re: Bella the Seicento

looks like ive just ordered the wrong bits at the wrong times...
D:

but i would shop there again, they seem decent enough when i rang them to ask where it was, and the product prices are always good.

and yeah, im getting the new suspension kit, new wheels, camber bolts all fited at the same time, then driving straight down to my mate who works at STS, whos gonna put some new tyres on the front, and balance / track them all :D

and cheers reu, ive taken some of the abarth badges off the interior now, so it shouldnt look as confused :)
