That looks stunning, what kind of process did you do? :) Full detail, bit of paint correction if it needed to be done or just polish and wax? :D

Good God no, i was way too knackered after 6 hours of cleaning! I simply clayed it, i should have polished it too really but it came up fine with the clay and rapid detailer (posh for clay lube) so i didn't think it was necessary. Beads the water off nicely anyway.

Few recent sunset ones. Not been using the car much (trying to cut down on fuel costs!) so that's why it's stayed pretty clean all week. Still waiting for vouchers to come through so i can put them towards my next service...

Re: A couple of photos

Car looks good RUI, glad you got rid of that tacky silver bit on the back, makes the car look rubbish.

I kind of disagree about the BNW being less reflective though. I recently clayed mine and the shine was unreal for a white car. It's such a glossy white, parked next to a Corsa in "van" white and the A500 was much more shiny.

It's only when you see the side of the car that's in direct sun that it looks less shiny, but this is true with most other colours too, dark or light. Dark colours show the swirls more too! :)

Finally got the Abarth on a Dyno yesterday (along with many others)

Results were interesting. Mine came to 166.2 BHP, not far off the estimated 170 mark, and given the fact that the car was running on BP Ultimate not V power, and the fact that it's overdue a service (including spark change) it would not be unreasonable to expect a figure of around 170, if not slightly higher. I also need to add the BMC panel filter, recommended for the tuning box, which should add a couple more HP.

Pretty chuffed with my results! The most powerful A500 there was my friends which had the same box as mine, but he also has the very tasty Monza exhaust. His was running at 175 BHP so i guess the Monza adds around 9 BHP (Magnetti claim a 12 BHP increase i think)

The most powerful Abarth there was my mates Grande Punto. His is an SS but he's also added the tuning box. His was running at 235 BHP, not bad for a 1.4 litre! :)

interesting dyno graph. Nice wodge of torque low down, just a shame the standard turbo is restricting it up top-end.

It's possible to fit a turbo form the AGP on (the Assetto Corse race cars use these) but it means a whole load of other work too. But with that, you can see 200 to 220 BHP (my friend has done this to his, not had a spin in it yet as he's upgrading the brakes accordingly!)

Few here today for the "ladies"

Was a stunning 21 degrees in the shade today! Spent most of the weekend sunbathing, i look a tad Asian now!

I quite like this tree, reminds me of a wedding :D

Lovely update, I even like the 'girly' orientated pictures :D Good use of tree blossom as well, May I suggest a different colour blossom to the car next time? To show more contrast in the photographs.

Bet its lovely over there in Wales in this weather, perfect picture opportunity's. Keep it up (y)

You might be interested to know that i was quoted (take a breath and sit down) a shocking £615 for my 2nd service by a certain Abarth garage! Even the salesman laughed.

I ended up ordering the parts myself from a different Abarth garage. Oil/air/pollen filter (BMC air filter) sump plug washer and x4 spark plugs for £133 delivered. Then i got the specialist oil (see pic) for £50 for 4L delivered.

Going to book her in at my local Ford garage soon. It's still going to cost a fair bit but hopefully nowhere near £600! She's going back to Abarth on Friday to get the dealer damaged side skirts fixed, keep your fingers crossed for me they don't mess it up. Unfortunately I'll be stuck with a slow and ugly MiTO for a week :(

The highlighted area doesn't deserve to be in the same sentance.

Snazzy looking oil though, worth the £50? £615 is a bit of a laugh... Why don't you service it yourself?

Sorry but I hate the MiTO. I hope i get the 155 BHP version, but even that was a tad slow. The little Abarth has spoiled me! :p

Er....£50, think i paid for the nice tin! As for the servicing, there's still a bit left on the warranty, so want to preserve that given how many faults I've had with the car. After Feb next year, I'll be doing everything myself to save some ££££

Did that service quote include getting the damage you mentioned in the last paragraph fixed?

Oh, and that tin would look great in my shed ;)
