Stilo The No1 GP Schumacher Project. Please.

Introduction

Hi so here is my New Schumi. (05 35k miles)
25012010063.jpg

Yes i know its a crappy mobile pic. Ill get her back out for a couple of decent pics at the weekend.

So the plan is to sell some old speakers and give the body work a good going over. There are a few nicks and dinks but once they are sorted the exterior will be top notch.
The wheels are a little scuffed so they need a refurb. Im thinking of having them powder coated so i will have a play on photoshop when i get a minute.

Again i have no pics but the next thing will be to put in my reclining sports seats and smaller aftermarket steering wheel. Bye Bye Airbags.

Then i have the install to start just as soon as i pay for a warranty and window tints so no twocer can see in.

If anybody has any comments or ideas then im all ears.

Stu
I really would think long and hard with what you are going to do. Its a limited edition car so I personally would add audio and mods which will complement the car. Also I wouldnt touch the steering wheel

And anyway, its got a 2.4ltr engine, why waste that extra power on lugging a huge sub about, use it for what its meant for.. speed!

Just my opinion. But congrats! Lovely car!

The Schumi came with a boot-mounted sub as standard. Perhaps someone nicked Volxstu's before he bought it...

Hi there... Nice car! I'm still missing mine! :(

Found out the other day that it is most likely a write off after an accident in Brighton..

If you need any info or parts etc feel free to contact me as I owned mine for 2 1/2 years and did plenty to mine.. As for powder coating the wheels.. Go for it! :yum:

Mine was running around 205-210 Bhp at one point and was a lot of fun...

Soooo jealous of you!

Love those wheels! Were they the OZ's repainted? Looks like you replaced the standard Eibachs with a lower set-up. Coilovers? And what did you do to achive the 200bhp? Exhaust, intake and re-map?

Oh its still there, but the ICE mod cant go driving around with that in the boot now can i.
So far the plan is.
Morel elate mid bass running off an Italian made Steg q105x4 amp (360w RMS x 2)
DLS Iridium tweeters and DLS Ultimate 2" mid range. dash mounted built into a pillars running from a DLS A7 amp. The DLS also has a 5th channel so i am contemplating puting an 8" sub in the glove box.
MTX 8510 10" sub running from an MTX 801D (600w RMS) amp
And a big yellow battery in the boot to keep power levels constant
And that is a downgrade in weight

Oh also there is a little confusion as to what LE number this is. It seems it may be no 001 but the badge on the dash just has a long number. Does anybody know how to tell

The dash-top badge should show a number between 1 and 200 as only 200 RHD cars were produced for the UK market.

Apparently not the first one as it was made pre release and it just has some really long code number. I cant find any info anywhere.

Just an update. It looks like i have to do a bit of restoration on this car so
I have started stage one and just received the car back tonight.
I have had the front end and rear bumper resprayed, total of 5 minor but annoying dents removed and wheels powder coated anthracite. This has cost £700 just incase anybody wants to know.
So i spose this thread would be useless without pics. They are only taken on the phone so i will take some with a better camera at the weekend.
Ok so this is the before side profile

And after with restored and shiny wheels

Not sure what you can tell from this but heres one of the front.

And rear

As its easter i am hoping that i find time to fit the new seats as the old ones are mingin. I have gone for a plain black sports recliner. Not my choice as they were a present from the rents but im sure they will look Ace.

Any comments please feel free.

Looking good! Drop it on Sportlines and it'll look amazing. I loved ShooweeNick's GP when it was dropped with anthracite OZ's :D

So you're going to put in new front seats? Will you not have issues with airbags or does the GP not have seat airbags or an OCS mat? If not, then lucky you! I loved the seats that Dax put in his... beige leather sports seats, yummy!

Whereabouts in Kent are you?

Im not touching the suspension, the kit it has now is amazing i dont want to do anything to ruin that. I would do add ons and the arbs but not coilovers and springs. Prodrive really did a good job on that one so i can cope with the face down arse up look. Im sure with a bit of careful designing this will look good.

Im actually thinking of dropping the sideskirts a couple CM, but need to check if that is possible without having to remodel them at the rear too much.

I will PM you where i am, probably not best to say that in a thread with pictures of my car with No plates lol.

Red Devil put Sportlines on his GP, don't think he had a bad word to say about them though would probably ask him directly for a more accurate review. I believe it was the now discontinued Sportlines that lowered it 50mm all round rather than the currently available 50mm/30mm front/back he had on his though.

I think it does look rather good though. Really like the styling tweaks of the Schui and the additions the GP brings make it even better - it's probably the only other Stilo I'd consider owning after I pay off the finance on mine :)

I was such an idiot today.
Firstly i fit the Red Abarth badge and for some reason thought that the Scorpion was sposed to be slightly off centre. :ROFLMAO: Needless to say it looks rubbish so now i know its good quality and fits i will just order the set for the whole car.

Then i thought i would fit the Bucket seats. Again i fail. I thought the subframe just attached to the aftermarket seats runners and then go straight into the car. Nope it looks like you have to take the the runners off the OE seats. :bang: So it looks like i will be starting a new thread to see if anybody knows how to best do that. Im so annoyed. Subframes were like £150. For a couple of bits of matal joined to a bar that doesnt even bloody bridge the seats to the car.
